Fuel in the south east has never been subsidised, they have always paid about 100 naira per litre. I wonder whether it's not the same Nigeria they are.

SMH

Well, FYI, fuel is available in the north but with a slight increase in price but the highest you get is 130/liter. You still get it at 87/litre but you ll have to join a not so long que. So please, stop feeling special while your govt continues to rob you.

Reason is very simple.
We dont depend on government to survive.
We are more concernd about the availability of fuel than the cost of it.
Marketers being fuel to the East because they are assured of their money.

We drive inn, buy and drive out.

Did you see any "Silly Subsidy Protests" in the East?
No, we have more important things to do.

Subsidy removal would have been the best for Nigeria, but the cabal who benefit from it, deceived the gullible.

I read the fuel thing on nairaland and I forget to ask my parents. I speak to my parents every two days and have never heard them lament about fuel scarcity.
Is that so.
Please let it stay that way o

People were angry that Igbos didn't join in their subsidy protest rubbish
Our people understood it was all a gimmick by then ACN to deceive the gullible and ignorant and business went on as usual in all of Igboland
The only thing we share with these folks is a space called Nigeria and nothing else

We don't look alike

The south shouldn't have fuel scarcity.

Not with the uncountable illegal refineries.

You shouldn't

Since the so called "legal refineries "cannot refine even pure water so why don't we lagalise the ilegal?

Haven't you had that s-east refines their own oil

Southeast produces crude oil from its soil enough to last its domestic needs and export.

Southeast refined crude oil in war time. How can't south east refine their crude oil in peace time?

.And you do every trick in the books so that people you call crazy cannot leave Nigeria to form another country.

Even as Nigeria created by Oyibo remains dysfunctional, you can't think for an alternative because of your diffidence.

Subsidy protest is a good example.
What matters to Igbos is availability, not mainly the price.
Most of them are business men. If the petrol price increases, they increase the price of their goods.
The westerners depend too much on govt, that's why they're mostly affected when a govt doesn't favour them.

Wow you are the best. How I wish all Nigerians will have the same mindset.

The problem is this:
Many of them are depending on Government handouts.
The dominate the civil service and ask for increament all the time.
They dont care whether Government income has increased or not.

They dont understand the capitalist economy where every is creative and industrious.
You are either producing something, selling something, selling a service or an idea.

If everybody is working ( I don't mean sitting in a office of government angency, doing nothing and waiting for the end of the on the alert), money will surely balance up.

If I running a transport business and was buying fuel at N100 and I charge N500 for my route, and then fuel change to N150. My charge can go up to N600 to N700.

Don jubilate, the extra money is not yet mine. Even the extra money is not yet that of the marketer.

The increase in fuel will affect every other services. So the extra money can go to the food vendor,. the cement seller, the printer, etc.

Only people with fixed income will suffer it.
That is why here in the East, if civil servants have some kind of business no matter how small.

I talked with a government teacher yesterday, she told me she bakes things and that is the main source of her income.

When there was no money, there were still rich people and poor people.
The generality of money.

As a result of this thread, I will open a thread where some teachings about money for those who are willing to learn.

Over here in Anambra (Aguata), there are virtually no queues. All filling stations sell petrol, but the price is increasing per day. Been buying 110/L up till Thursday. Bought 115 and 120 on Friday. Heard it now goes for 140, and 150/L in some places. Still no queues though.
