My sentiment exactly. I'm yet to see a thread that will boost human development in Akwa Ibom state. Good governance goes beyond beautification of capital city and hotels. The hotel looks good and will boost tourism but to me I consider it misplaced priority just like the stadium except he is running human development policies alongside the project.

The Governor of Akwa Ibom state should pursue empowerment programs, boost human development through grants and scholarships, support SMEs in the state and create environment that is attractive to business. Human development is key to societal growth rather than frivolties like hotels, stadium, and stuffs....except he's running them concurrently which is admirable.

Lovely! Then what the state need is not just hotel, is a mass housing scheme that will encourage people to LIVE in Akwa Ibom and really pursue their businesses. The government need to send many Akwa Ibomites on scholarship, trainings and even provide grant to some indigenes that may be interested in business. It is sad that lots of Akwa Ibomites are doing househelps outside. The government can also establish state owned companies that will employ the best brains because Akwa Ibom is a state with lots of potentials.

there is a 1000 nit housing scheme in ikot ekpene. the new governor will have to add more cool

plus deliver the sea port. so that i fly out of nigeria without smelling gutter anywhere undecided
