With response to allegation that the President did not declare his asset publicly he doesnt have to since he has submitted to the code of conduct bureau it is their duty to announce to the general public about the asset not the president himself.

GEJ didn't declare his assets as president. He was forced to do it as VP and by the time he was elected in 2011 he had already stolen too much to make him declare his assets. So, GEJ NEVER DECLARED HIS ASSETS AS PRESIDENT.

11. 1. Every public officer shall within 3 months after taking office and thereafter:

(a) at the end of every four years; and

(b) at the end of his term of office;

Submit to the Code of Conduct Bureau a written declaration of all his properties, assets and liabilities and those of his spouse, or unmarried children under the age of 21 years.

2. Any statement in such declaration that is found to be false by any authority or person authorised in that behalf to verify it shall be deemed to be a breach of this Code.

to those saying the President and his Vice have deviated from their campaign promise, won't the Code of Conduct Bereau verify the declarations of assets before being declared public?

You could have thought of why it took Late Umar Yaradua up to a month before it was made public.

Exactly what is stopping this Code of Conduct Bureau from revealing this declaration to the general public? We also deserve to know. A lot of people are counting on PMB. Hope he doesn't let us down.

According to this article I found it was believed that Jonathan declared his assets to ccb as directed by the constitution but the contents of the declaration were not made public. That was what nigerians were asking for; for it to be made public not for him to declare his asset to ccb.

Yes, I learnt that it takes about 30 days for the verification process to be completed. By this month's ending, hope the results are released.
