One dangerous adventure to undertake as a man of "integrity" is delve into Nigerian politics. While you are there, especially if you don't have that "power" as it were, you will have to dance to the tune of those that play your political drum of relevance. It is therefore, highly discouraging, dehumanizing as well as disheartening for a person of Prof Osinbajo to lay claims without proper verification, even as a professor of law.
Earlier today (Monday) when I read a threat on Nairaland concerning the discharge and dismissal of the case of Timipre Sylva, the former Governor of the oil-rich Bayelsa state, by the EFCC, over a corrupt case of over N2 Billion, I hurriedly remembered what our dear VP said about the Jonathan administration in 2014 over shielding (housing) corrupt persons.
According to the presidential running mate of Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), "it is saddening that under Jonathan’s government, there is no consequence for corruption.”
http://www.punchng.com/news/jonathan-politicising-boko-haram-menace-osinbajo/

My questions now are:
1. If there is a consequence for corruption under Buhari, why did Buhari make the same Sylva head of his transition committee?
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/timipre-sylva-in-the-emerging-political-scenario/208359/

2. If according to the VP, there was no consequence for corruption under GEJ, what is therefore the consequence of corruption for the magical release of Sylva just less than 3 days into office by the anti-corruption crusaders?
http://www.360nobs.com/2015/05/buhari-allegedly-instructs-keyamo-to-withdraw-from-prosecuting-timipre-sylva/

3. Just a couple of days ago, Buhari said he will not spare any corrupt leader. What is now the justification for Buhari's mingling with the very people (corrupt leaders) he 'intends' to fight?
http://pulse.ng/politics/muhammadu-buhari-immunity-or-not-youll-face-the-law-president-speaks-on-corrupt-leaders-id3813764.html
In conclusion, since the VP kept mute on the appointment of Sylva (with a known corrupts case) to head their transition committee, and also on the premature dismissal of Sylva's case by the EFCC, it therefore means that he has totally contradicted what Buhari 'stands' for - the anti-curroption crusader!

Does having a money laundry allegation or misappropriation case against you in court automatically make you a corrupt person or a criminal when you have not been convicted?

What exactly is your point young man?

I agree with the other parts of your post except this one above. Let's leave political sentiments out of this, PMB was not in order by appointing Sylva. No one is debating the fact that Sylva is innocent until proven and pronounced guilty but it is not right that he was appointed while a corruption charge was pending against him.

Why is it that companies and organizations often suspend their staffs whenever there is a serious allegation against them pending when the allegations would be investigated and decided one way or the other. For a man with a much vaunted anti-corruption stance that appointment was in my opinion ill-thought. What would it have cost Buhari to appoint someone without any baggage hanging over him? Is Sylva the only person who could have discharged the functions of the post to which he was appointed?

It's just like when FFK was working for GEJ and went for his court appearance with presidential escort. Gej was widely condemned then despite d fact that FFK is also innocent until proven guilty. Buhari came in with a 'change' and 'zero-tolerance-for-corruption' mantra yet Sylva's appointment belied all that.

http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/02/26/ill-not-appoint-corrupt-persons-in-my-govt-says-buhari/

This same Buhari said he would not appoint corrupt persons. Let's now assume that Sylva is finally convicted. It means that Buhari appointed a corrupt person to kick start the process of forming his govt. Not only that, he is now being accused whether rightly or wrongly of nfluencing Sylva's case. He could have avoided all that by simply steering clear of sylva.
Your words are worth every kilo of their weight, however it is noteworthy that the appointment in question was that of a transition committee, which by its very nature, requires liaison with several organs of the outgoing government and as such, Sylva must have been of strategic value to the APC hence his appointment. The transient nature of the now expired appointment quite significant.

I have always said that this Government is a fraud and dats how I will continue to see them, they promised to move away from the old ways of doing things in this country yet they keep changing the goal post as the day go by.

They should have allowed the the case to go on trial and if the man is innocent he will go home a free man.
Buhari is a brainless Dullard who was used by questionable characters to deceive the gullible.
Not only buhari, the illiterate but also osinbajo, the houseboy.

The efcc case was withdrawn by GEJ and not Buhari.
Read the proceedings, the directive came from the AGF. Buhari is even yet to appoint an AGF.

I think GEJ made that last move so as to create peace for himself in bayelsa especially as the case was borne out of vendatta in the first place.

Please consult your lawyer on any legal issues here hence you are advertising your ignorance.

In as much as we like PMB and want him to succeed, I feel he should not have appointed someone with a question mark on his integrity.

PMB promised he was goin to fight corruption. Appointin someone dat had been arrested by EFCC for a corruption charge will only cause controversies which he doesn't need now, and also cast doubts on d minds of some of his followers.

Don't try to feel smart. The post is there. Everyone knows the meaning of opposition. Everyone knows the parties in opposition now. At the time you posted, it is obvious you mistook dpp for pdp. If not, then explain where the word opposition came from while you quoted me. Except perhaps you are talking about the original post. Thanks

This isnt bout smartness. Has the word "Opposition" become synonymous to PDP? At the time I posted that i meant opposition as opposition not PDP please. Maybe quoting your post wasnt necessary as it isnt in line with my comment.
