I have seen some China phone that has this app. preinstalled.

is there any available UHF and VHF for andriod.? I would love to watch some channels local news on the go.

umm. only work with antenna...?

the TV hardware on those China phones is not present in Android device and as such cannot run it. I have searched until some developers corrected me on Xda forum. one developer copied and turn the TV app to .apk it installed successfully but force closes each time because no hardware to support it.

Yeah!!! But things might change if they start doing digital broadcasting, in that way we wont be needing antennas, maybe sensors would be in vogue

Simply put: the hardware to do this would
need to be built into the phone. The phone
itself would need a TV tuner and an antenna
built in. Seeing as America, Canada and most
of Europe have stopped using analog
television altogether in favour of digital
terrestrial television, it’s unlikely this will be a
priority for device manufacturers anytime
soon.

Further complicating matters: analogue TV
works differently in different countries. So this

You cant view analog TV channels
This feature is introduced in China mobiles
Now spice, nxg Xfab pune company (importing
from China and providing one year warranty
too) has analog TV

As mentioned in a link , in a thread of this
blog ; such phone is allready available here
Most digital channels are private with lot of
sponsors and cluttered with promos and
content is mostly hyped and spiced in favour
of sponsors
So analog channels are a welcome relief and
if available without data connection is an
added bonus

It is nice and user-friendly answer,,,,actually I
have used the app
But question is free-to-air analog channels
which do not require data connection(for eg.
Doordarshan channel which does not
require set top box or cable or dish antenna or
even internet)

I don’t think there’s anything like that.
Certainly not in my experience. You can’t get
straight connection from your phone directly. I
hope they do build something like that.
