A 24-year-old female youth Corper, Ijeoma Susan Azubuike (pictured above) has been declared missing by her family. She was last seen on Sunday May 31st in Owo, Ondo State where armed robbers attacked a GUO Transport bus conveying her and several other passengers to Lagos. Ijeoma, a graduate of the University of Ado-Ekiti, left Jigawa for Lagos State on saturday 30th of May after completing her 3 weeks orientation exercise but stopped over in Abuja to continue her journey on Sunday being a long trip.

The family said they got a call on Sunday, May 31st, around 3:30pm from someone in Owo, Ondo state asking to speak to the of father Ijeoma. He then proceeded to explain that the GUO bus which was bringing them to Lagos from Abuja was attacked by armed robbers in Owo and they all had to run for safety, after the robbers had left, they all went back to the bus to continue their journey and it was then they discovered that Ijeoma was missing.

The passenger said they got the mobile number from the Manifest which Ijeoma had filled her father's details as her next of kin, since that Sunday till now Ijeoma has not been found.

According to the female passenger who Ijeoma met at the park, she told us as they ran for their safety into the bush Ijeoma noticed her carrying her own bag on her neck and screamed "My bag!!" and quickly ran back to get her own bag. That was the last time she was seen.

Anyone with info should please call - 08066121270, 08136364708 or contact the nearest police station.

Nothing should have made her to run back for her bag Except her CREDENCIALS. I feel for her. I pray She'§ found alive.

Used to be catholic too. i don't believe in all this mediator thing. Go directly to God n ask whatever you want ot gist him whatever you wanna say. Why do you have to go through shortcut? What's blocking direct access to one you call your Father?

Imagine all the saints one prays to: Anthony, Michael, Fatima, DonBosco etc etc.

Change your orientation bro. BTW, i still attend a catholic church but i don't do all these mediator thingy, no! Accord Mary her due respect but elevating her to a 'Godly' status, mbanu.

Hmmmn, what stopped your aunt and the others from dragging her back cos I don't understand this issue of her going to pick up her bag. I don't understand at all. No one persuaded her to run for her life first? Even in stoopid nollywood movies, people don't run back to pick up anything from robbery scenes with the robbers still present, talk much of real life robbery. Pls, someone should explain this part to me cos normal Nigerians that I know will not watch a young lady go back to danger just for a bag.

May she be kept safe and found alive...
BUT, this part about her going to pick up her bag doesn't add up..I have travelled by road a lot of times and I can boldly say that Nigerians still care too much to let anyone take that kind of decision in the face of danger. Yes, we know they were all anxious to get to safety but.....a lot of buts.

Some people will read a heart touching news and started asking questions as if it was a movie. Imagine questions like “hope she was found? ", "hope the robbers didn't kidnap her?" you for wait for d part two na.... Nonsense
Re: Female Corps Member Missing (photos) by Ayodejioak(m): 5:13pm On Jun 03, 2015
I am trying to think why she would do that... well the three most important things she ever toiled for must have been in that bag.... Her Original Credentials (Most of us went to camp with it), Her first allowee and extra pocket money (19800) and her Evergreen memories of camp (Pictures, portraits, customized platoon vests). Nevertheless, none of these worth more than LIFE. I pray Gods eyes watch over you anywhere you might be dear.

Many of us are casting aspersions on lady for her seemingly inane decision to return to the bus for her bag. The truth is we don't know what's in the bag, and in situation like that, adrenaline pumping through ones veins, its not uncommon for one to take temporary leave of sense.

i remember when my sister was accosted by robbers on the Benin Auchi road many years back. Could you believe that rather than taking to her heels she actually began pleading that they should allow her carry just her bag which contained her credentials, claiming she'd be dead without it. This is despite the robbers threatened to shoot anyone attempting to save his/her belonging.

thankfully she made it alive, but squirms each time she remembers the episode on she almost lost her life over pieces of paper.

i pray this corper also makes it alive. cry

'are' life.... Yoruba man. It amazes me how some of you guys write d way you pronounce them in your yorubatic intonation. That's how some of ur brothers write things like:
'is car' instead of 'his car' etc.

Pls note mistake is diff from ignorance, check my quote and see I use the right word just that my phone help cause the second problem.

NOTE from your quote .There is nothing like Yorubatic and the word THEM is a pronoun use for referring( people, animals or things as the object of verb.)

It's okay. I wasn't necessarily trying to point out your grammatical flaws. That would have been another issue entirely. I was just relating to the occasional occurrence of people (esp southwesterners) writing words in line with their intonation. Reading stuff like: 'is office', 'e is fine', 'aw are you' etc and those that write their names like 'horlatunde', horlawunmi' etc on social media irritates my eyes.

I'm not a grammarian, but I know I'm not bad in grammar. The 'yorubatic' I wrote is supposed to be in quote (I missed that out). It's just an adjective I formed to make my point simpler, just like people often mention the term 'igbotic'.
For the other point, I wanted to write "it amazes me how you people write WORDS the way you pronounce them.....". I also missed out the 'words' while I was typing.

I don't want to go into grammatical discussion with you, otherwise I would have shown you how incorrect most of what you wrote up there are.

Sir I like learning from everything, pls point out my error cos I believe that is the only way I can correct my self. I am poor when it comes to english. But you cannot uses THEM as an adjective from your second post.
sorry for my first response, I only did that because yours sound harsh to me

What about something like this:
"Pls note that mistake is diff from ignorance. Check my quote and see that I used the right word, just that my phone helped cause the second problem.
NOTE from your quote .There is nothing like Yorubatic, and the word THEM is a pronoun used for referring( people, animals or things as the object of verb.)

Now compare it with what you wrote up there and see if there is any difference.

As regards the "them", should I have written:
"It amazes me how some of you guys write 'words' d way you pronounce 'the words' in your yorubatic intonation. Or simply:

It amazes me how some of you guys write 'words' d way you pronounce 'them' in your yorubatic intonation.

Is there really no place for 'them' in that write up? Can words not be replaced with 'them' as a pronoun in the object form?

You are right. The lady who said that she ran back should be questioned because no reasonable person at that age would embark on such mission of going back to the scene of a robbery.
