Obiodunukwe:And there he goes again. If you don't bare that surname in real life, may your remaining days on earth be long and very miserable. Say Amen to that and I know you've not been stalking people for a living. Unto the matter, we all know the set of people in this country that marry kids, so it's not a new thing to ask him not to look too much at the kids. Unlike you, I value the lives of children and other beings, so I hate it when your likes stalk and molest people. |

What about yoruba/igbo tribe?stop joining 2 tribes together..its either housa or fulani..no state apart from kano is housa state in the whole of nigeria so how come house is the largest nigerian tribe?example..gombe state has 40% tangale and 30% waja and no housa..platue state has over 70% biroms.niger has about 50 gwari and 20%nupe..taraba,kogi,benue,kwara has no traces of housa.sokoto, bauchi, yobe, katsina, kebbi and zamfara are fulani states while borno belong to kanuri and other minor tribes.kaduna is not also housa state so wht makes housa even a major tribe?.quote author=dustmalik post=34389076] Yes. it's also the largest indigenous ethnic group in the whole of Africa.[/quote] |

tpiadotcom:Lol not at all! What started the discussion was the number of states in each region in Nigeria. I would excuse her ignorance because it took a while before she understood or agreed she knew as she claimed, the 6 geopolitical zones. Then we started naming the various states in all the zones. When I said Gombe, she burst out in laughter. The name" gombe" was so funny to her and she said she had never heard that name before |

Mogidi:A little refresh on history: Hausa is the language most spoken across West Africa- spoken in Nigeria, Niger, Mali, Cameroun, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Chad. Reason BBC and VOA both have a dedicated Hausa service. Yoruba is spoken in other parts of West Africa too- spoken in Nigeria, Benin Republic (there are Yoruba radio stations in that country), Togo, Sierra Leone. Yoruba people are also found in Brazil, Cuba, etc. Reason you hear names of Yoruba Lagosians like Da Silva, Da Costa, Wellington, Da Rocha, Agusto, Fernandez, Domingo, Vera Cruz, etc. And the Sierra Leone bit of Yoruba Lagosians bearing Williams, Willoughby, Cole, etc. But for the scramble for Africa by the British, French, and Portuguese colonialists, this would have been the configuration of Nigeria today: Northern Nigeria+Northern Cameroun+Southern Cameroun including Bakassi+Northern Chad+Northern Niger, would all have been in Nigeria Old Dahomey (now Benin Republic)+South-West Nigeria would both have been in Nigeria If you noticed, the singing group, of about 6 ladies who entertained the audience at the Buhari inauguration were from Niger Republic but they sang in Hausa all through... History is funny. It appears that almost all tribes migrated from somewhere to another place...The current Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba S.K. Adetona, publicly said, some years ago, that Ijebu people migrated from Mecca! |
