Yes my brother. It is all true. I don't believe it too when my Jamaica friend in my school show me his passport and also my Indian friend too also in my college. These guys are not even permanent residence. TheY carry student visa like me too. But surprisingly they also have 10 years us visa. Meanwhile they only apply here in canada. Now, I think this cannot happen to any nigerian except you are citizen or PR holder. Imagine, they see nigerian people as a poor people despirate to move out of the poverty country. I don't blame them. But I blame our government for this shame they are making nigerian to face in abroad. For me to be acepted into my community as a nigerian, I gave to correct their past impression about nigerian but they have had enough of us. Yes that is the reason why V.O are so strict on our application because they don't know who is truly coming to Canada or usa to study or not. Because they know that the country is bad and all youth want to leave the country. I pray that this new administration will do something about nigeria. Am always happy and bold to tell another in canada that I am from nigeria. God bless Nigeria.

You are right. I was in doubt at first sha - 10 years is a lot of time...I guess being a Canadian PR has everything to do with it.

Hi all,

So when we talk about the now famous "quota system" , what particular quota are we talking about? Is it General institution quota? Program quota? Provincial quota? or Nationality quota?

At least if we are to assume there is quota, there has to be solid argument to support that line of thinking.

From my perspective, have always thought there was a quota in place, thats the only way to check the number or inflow of people into a particular provice. From my understanding, the PNP as a limit to people they can accomodote, so I believe to create a balance there as to be for Student Visas et al.

Hello beautiful people of Nairaland. Please i need some clarification on an issue. My application was refused some months back and I intend to reapply soonest. In my earlier application, i included a letter of study leave without pay. However, some conditions at my workplace have changed and my employer would be issuing me a new letter of study leave with pay. Would this sudden change in the content of the study leave letter (i mean without pay and now with pay) issued by my employer raise any issue? I was wondering if a letter of introduction from my employer stating that the management had reviewed my situation and decided to grant me study leave with pay, would suffice.
As many that will render advice, I declare that you will never lack quality counsel in your lives grin. Amen!

just for the sake of curiousity, your username cannyhopeful ... so shey after you get TRV you go change username or undecided undecided undecided

Well, I really don't think the quota thing gels for me, I don't know why I don't agree to it, maybe cuz there's no official statement to further convince one. Berexio and I had this arguement last week or so, he thought the quota thing existed and might be the cause of mass delays at certain times, but I didn't . I hope people with better understanding will help crack the quota nut

All in all, make it very obvious but subtle that the Company is going to be left in your care in the long run, hence the investment of a sound education on you!

There's nothing like provincial quota for me...canada is canada
.they may have a limit every year of Nigerian intake or foreign intake buh it's never a fixed limit, it is always flexible depending on how genuine they feel an app is.

It's normal to say during rush period there is more scrutiny done...
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 6:38pm On Jun 03, 2015
I am a strong believer of quota per province!

kol1234:
Good people!

The Truth is that there is no perfect application, even those who got TRV, if they were denied people will still spot a fault or two. The basis is God's favour

This is not determined by machines else people would know already if they will be getting it or not but because it's been done by humans and we dont see things thesame way, then it all boils down to who controls the mind.

Anyways lets keep praying and be optimistic for the best.

Also I want to believe a quota might be a factor if anyone can analyse; i:e per province, per school we might have a lead to ascertain this assumption

Wish all the best and those delayed to try again, just maybe this time!

Thanks for all your comment, at the moment, dont actually ve anything to say..... am totally disappointed. I'm 100% down!

Note: this ain't my business, i inherited it from my late dad, and i submitted the will doc as well! What business does the VO ve with whom will take care of the business..... This is just an excuse for Christ sake! They suppose to know that this aint my business, but something i inherited from my late dad. So, the business shouldn't ve to correlate with my studies, because this is inheritance!

I am a student, i spend four years to study computer science in Serbia, and after my program, i came back to my home country. they dont ve anything to say! i ve never overstay in any country.

I dont really know what to say.... believe me i just hate Canada @ dis moment! if i want to stay back in any country, i would ve do that long ago.

Reasons:
- I do not have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay tuition fees (I actually had 5million in the account I presented).

I intend to reapply ASAP, how do I make my application better? smiley

If all you are paying is just 30% income tax, that means you are still within the average income and when you say that the gentleman is better than lots here, use the word lots with care though, and many like the gentleman might not be coming here cos of the $ figures but for other reasons . . . many are paying almost 50% income tax, all based on your salary range.

Please don't brag on this thread.. We dont care how much you earn.

Just calm down cuz I know how you feel. I was delayed earlier this year also, so I know the feeling, you really gotta brace up, and I think you should try one more time.

The purpose of visit is the biggie, I think what you're doing now doesn't tally with ur intended course of study and dts where d prob lies.
You can switch to a course inline with what u do now, within ur school and once u get in, you can switch back to info tech.

For the family ties, you can have a letter written by one of ur siblings that he/she will look after the business while you're away..

Trust me ur case is simple, just two reasons.. You need to see the plenty reasons in my refusal letter
