ionsman: See yourself. Your fail to understand before opening your mouth. GEJ witnessed the highest rise in oil price hence the highest subsidy margin paid. OBJ paid 500bn per anum when crude was at average of 50usd. Yaradua's short tenure saw subsidy at 1trn per anum. GEJ'S team (Sanusi and Okonjo Iweala) advised removal and we cried foul. Now just a 5usd increase in oil price is leading to 40 Naira increase in subsidy. This subsidy payment need to stop. But so does blind statements like yours. 9 Likes |

ShowYourCertificate: Yes....and let us also be grateful to your great hero GEJ who did not repair our refineries...and who kept our economy so oil dependent that now we do not have the cash to pay for any subsidy. And also, thank him too for forgetting to clean up the NNPC....yes we know the NNPC's corruption did not start with him...but it continued under him. And thank him too for doing nothing about the looting /stealing of fuel. And it is still one week.....Johnny Goode had no ideas on how to deal with our fuel issue after 5 years. At least under Baba One Chance(when he ran NNPC)...we had investment in new refineries, and a pipeline system..AND NO FUEL SCARCITY. 3 Likes |

Also note that this figure is N10 higher because for some inexplicable reason, GEJ reduced fuel Price to N87, a reduction nobody asked him for, all in a bid to curry votes for the elections.
