Also, preceded by years of war with Ethiopia. Read up.

I liked your post 'coz you're right and I'm not denying that but they still had to fallback on referendum. That's the best way to go about it especially in these era. War is no more an option.

I quite agree with you, but the fundamental problem is -- our constitution does not recognise referendum and the constitution of the land is supreme, where all actions derives their legality or illegality.

That is what we first need to insert into our constitution.

That was what killed the National Conference.

Once the constitution recognises referendum, the rest is as easy as ABC. All what one party needs is to evoke that part of the constitution. That was what made the Scottish referendum possible.

If you do not want war and bloodshed, then there is a need to find a solution to the constitutional quagmire we are in.

Poppycock! You guys are only now making noise coz you lost the plum positions you held in GEJ's government. Why didn't we hear all this when GEJ was in power? ? Your people practically ran GEJ's government to the ground, yet you have the effrontery to complain about being marginalized now abi? Why couldn't you people turn SE into a paradise during GEJ's tenure? ? Weren't Yorubas also marginalized during GEJ's tenure? You guys behave like women and lil' kids, pouting and throwing tantrums coz you're not having your way. I've said I support Biafra and it must surely succeed but you people should first of all call your people to move en masse to the SE. Period!
The road to freedom is long and tough"freedom is won not given".
Please note: We have being glamouring to actualise Biafra before the coming of GEJ and till this day. Having said that, The whole of South East is far advanced in terms of development, human resources, industrialization, infrastructure, commerce, social amenities etc. compare to the entire South West excluding Lagos. Imagine what we can achieve if we go on our separate ways. Hysteria!!!...

I believe if Igbos do really, seriously, genuinely and sincerely want Biafra nation, they will have it without a shot of gun. They do have all the human and material resources to achieve this. However, it seems the people leading the secession campaign have no clue as to what they want or how to go about it.

Moreover, with all due respect, it seems most Igbos would prefer to be in Nigeria than Biafra. I may be wrong but this is why a referendum is so important. Imagine, few months ago, the Scottish were demanding for their own country. They got a referendum but majority of Scots prefer not to leave UK.

Why I'm saying all these is that, if Igbos achieved Biafra by force through arms, it's most likely that, there might be an internal divisions among tribes, states within Biafra. This is why the way to go is through a referendum.

Unlike in the 60s, Nigeria now practice democracy today and I believe if Igbos unites and, with one voice demand for a referendum Via the United Nations, nothing can stop them. South Sudan did it, Eritrea did it, Ukrain did it, Scotland recently did it( though they fail but they're not giving up), 'Barcelonians' and some small towns are currently demanding for their own country in Spain. There are hundreds of nations within nations demanding for referendums in order to have their own countries.

So, people demanding for secession must always adhere to best option of separation which is PEACEFUL separation. This can always be done by first demanding for a REFERENDUM. Demanding for a referendum in order to determine whether to remain as part of a country or whether to secede is not a crime. What is a crime is when people take up arms to fight a democratic institutions. This may lead to a full blown war and War is not a child's play.

A referendum is illegal according to the Nigerian constitution.

Even your billionaires are not investing in the SE. Ifeanyi Uba has only ONE petrol station in the entire Anambra, his main investment concerns are located and situated in the SW. Ditto Emeka Offor, Ditto Arthur Eze, Ditto Coscharis. I visit the Anambra, Imo, Enugu threads and your people there are always attacking their rich people for fleeing the SE -- they simply refuse to invest in the SE!!!!! Even the Enugu Int'l Airport sef, they've refused to patronize it -- they would rather fly all the way to Lagos to board international flights that could easily be boarded at Enugu!!

Before the Enugu Airport was upgraded you all boasted that it will take much traffic away from Lagos, yet they refuse to use it, is it the Yorubaman's fault? You people are just pathetic. Full-stop!

You're correct once again. It seems you're now following my line of arguments. Igbos had fought a war like South Sudan, Eritrea etc but the difference is that, while these countries achieved their objectives, Igbo didn't. Why? This is the main question. Will another Second Civil War enabled Igbos to achieve Biafra or is there an alternative?

IMO, they did not achieve it because they put the cart before the horse. They did not do their homework very well, before making the rash decision.

Am all for Biafra, but they need to start moving en-masse back to the SE to speed up its actualization. There's no way in hell Yorubaland will host secessionist Ibos. Hell no. That will be dangerous for our security. The more they clamour for Biafra, the more other Nigerians begin to look upon them with suspicion. They should all move to the SE and I will take them seriously.

The empty-headed punks will always display. Have all Nigerians living outside the British contraption ever hurried home or be asked to vacate their places of aboard? Even there are Nigerians of Yoruba descent residing in Accra, Ghana. If the dumbass Yoruba land does not want diplomatic relationship with republic of Igbo land or Biafra for that matter, you shall welcome their with heavy retaliatory stands. In fact, I do not think that every stick in Oodua land will reason as you do.

The only way Biafra will ever become a reality is for igbos to convince Rivers, Akwa ibom and Cross River State to join them. This states expecially Cross River boarders other country, while Biafra is in between the Southwest and South South (the states mentioned above). Biafra cannot become an independent country inside Nigeria

I cannot answer your questions Bro.

The question on the boundary of Biafra can only be determined by the confederation of Igbos and Igboid ethnic groups.

To be candid, the group needs a selfless leader like Zik, that can command the respect of the opposition with his intelligence, can sell snow to eskimos with his oratory power and has foresight enough to predict events of a decade to come as at now.

Presently, there is a dearth of quality leadership and this is actually needed to galvanise all for the actualisation of your dream.

The leader sees the future the followers cannot see and makes them to believe it and has enough charisma that oozes confidence, that will make people want to even follow him to the lions den.

With such a leader, more people, most especially igbos in other parts of Nigeria, will key into the dream.

With their level of exposure, education and investments in other parts of the country. You do not expect them to stake their lives and what they have worked for in their lifetime, to follow one tout or one never-to-do-well id1ot sitting down in one obscured room in Europe saying rubbish.

I cannot say what your economy will look like in 10years time after independence. If you are basing your economy on the China trading your people do, then you are in for a long thing. Trading does not sustain any country. For your information all trading activities in Lagos constitutes less than 1% of Lagos GDP (Lagos State Government website). That is the reason why people find your statements of we-developed-Lagos absurd and illogical

Don't know what you mean by development in your own language but Ogun State alone has more industries than the entire South East,Human Resources-the South West has more universities, more professors, more doctors, more lawyers, more engineers, more musicians etc than the South East and has more population-45 million as against Igbo-40 million(wikipedia),we have more natural resources and mind you,we have experimented regionalism before and South West came tops-first skyscrapper, stadium, university, newspaper, television, radio etc...the South West even borrowed the whole of Nigeria,a huge some of money-two times-when Nigeria was broke...South West would have gone beyond this...Remember metroline and some other laudable developmental programmes stopped by the FGN...we are still watching...you would be surprised, when Yoruba wants out,we get an out-out of this contraption called Nigeria... There are lot and lot of ways to break a pot.....

You are the ignorant person here for not grabbing the message in my post, how will Biafra secede without the states i mentioned earlier? Will Biafra become a country inside Nigeria? Or in your very ignorant mind you think the NigerDelta region is part of your Biafra?

You are drooling on your ignorance of the facts. Biafra was a case of eastern region when there was no crap of what you idiotically termed NigerDelta region in your post. It is no pity you are busy acting like a hole however when you are done fooling, you can help your silly self by glancing over the map of South African region. I guess you could see there is an independent country inside Republic of South Africa. Your moronic posture indicates the people of South Africa are more enlightened than dumbasses such as you in Nigeria. I have no intentions to educate you however Republic of Igbo land shall exist and the expendables in the so-called south-south had to make a decision. It is clearly your mindset sucks.

I hope Biafrans get there Biafra. There is no sense for this madness...forcing groups who do not want to be in the same nation as one under a unitary systems.

On a side note I think Biafrans should research countries that seceded successfully so as to develop proper strategies.I didn't even know Singapore seceded from Malaysia in 1965 and watch how great they are despite being small nation.

Its clearly obvious that the pain of defeat has affected your brain, your brain is so damaged by Buhari's victory, it can no longer comprehend or process information. I didn't insult you in my earlier quote unless you consider the word "ignorant" which you called me first as insult, neither did i post any negative comment against Biafra in my post. I was just being objective by stating one of the conditions that could affect the Country of Biafra becoming a reality, but you brought politics and abuse into it. I am from the region known today as South South (NigerDelta) and i know for a fact that my state or region is not part of your Biafra. So i ask again and this time answer the question in a mature way, will Biafra (Republic of Igboland as you called it) become a country inside Nigeria if as you put it the "expendables" from the South South did not join? And before you go back to South Africa and all, Lesotho neither fought a civil war nor secede from South Africa, she gained independence from Britain.
