Guidelines In Obtaining Driver’s Licence For First-timers by aproko247(op): 4:29pm On Jun 05, 2015

In an effort to inform and educate its readers, Aproko247 has brought to you guildelines stipulated by the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in getting the licence to drive a vehicle in Nigeria.

We hope this information helps you. Here are the steps;

Step 1

Attend training at an accredited driving school.

Step 2

The driving school will then present you to the to Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) for a driving test.

Step 3

Pass the driving test and obtain a certificate of proficiency from the VIO.

Step 4

Complete the driver’s licence application form at the Driver’s Licence Centre (DLC).

Step 5

Pay the licence fee online or at the Bank.

Step 6

Present your application form to the Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) Officer and VIO at the DLC for endorsement.

Step 7

Proceed to the FRSC Officer at the DLC for biometric data capture.

Step 8

Obtain a temporary driver’s licence valid for 60 days.

Step 9

Pick up original driver’s licence from the place you did your biometric data capture after 60 days.

Not in this country o.

Here are the steps;

Step 1
Go to any road safety office, tell dem u want to do drivers license, they will tell u 11000.

Step 2
Pay the 11000 cash

Step 3
They will get ur data and capture ur picture and biometrics

Step 4
They give u temporary drivers license

Step 5
U wait until God knows wen for the original drivers license

Very funny. I obtained my learners permit and driver's license same day at VIO mabushi abuja without attending any driving school

Please how can we identify an accredited driver's training school? There are lots of kangaroo schools around here

In addition, how much is the license?

OP, you forgot the main step.

Even someone who cannot point to the Accelerator can get it even faster if He has enough in his back pocket.

Rubbish!

My cousin used the LEARNERS' PERMIT for 6months, she was renewing it every month for 500naira. Then she finally did the drivers' license for 10k or so without visiting anywhere.
