Did you know the first storey building in Nigeria was built in 1842 by Christian Missionaries? This historical building houses some of the items used by the early missionaries such as the Bible and others. It was later home to Ajayi Crowther, the respected missionary that translated the Bible into Yoruba. cheesy grin

That's a not correct. Here in the North, we had plenty of one storey buildings for the past 250 years ago during the reign of Usman Danfodio. It was an architecture copied from Arabs thru trans-Sahara trade. Our civilisation didn't start with the coming of the whites.

Even though I'm a Muslim, I'm always proud to be a Yoruba. Education-we're brilliant, Wars-we're tacticians, Economically-we're stable, even if Nigeria dies today-we're O.K grin grin

The first European-built storey building or the first European-built chimney building? Last last time I checked numerous Nigerian cultures have their respective multi-story archaeological traditions.
