STEP 3: Transplanting.
lt is a process whereby you move your little seedlings from nursery to feild.

STEP 3: Transplanting.
lt is a process whereby you move your little seedlings from nursery to feild. lt is arguably good to transplant your tender plants in the evening when the weather is cool. There is no much difference in feild preparation of tomato and other crops. The ONLY issue is spacing. Rows should be spaced 3ft or less. 1.5-2ft between plants.Let me quickly add this. Your seedlings will be ready for transplanting when they are 3-4 inches tall and have true 4 leaves.

Causes of leaf roll in pepper and tomato are many. Stress, due to watering. Too much water or insufficient supply. If this is the cause, it could be easily reverse. Another one is too much nitrogen in the soil due to over-fertilization. Too much prunning at a time may also be the cause.
I want to believe that it is not fungal disease. Try to analyse the possible cause of leaf roll. Dont panic please. it is a common problem of pepper and tomato.

No specific variety is best. It depends on your market survey and period of year. The bottom line is having a quality produce.Quality products will command good price always.

That is stress. There may be many causes for it. The most common facror is insufficient watering. But if it is during hot weather in the afternoon, that is normal. They will regain strength when the day become cool. Then look out for termites. They might present in the soil, disturbing the roots.

To my surprise, only 70 seedlings were transplanted. I suspect the seeds are not up to the stated number. I think it was less than hundred.

Sincerely you are wrong with your assumption, come and get a gram of tomato seed in my office we will count it and you will know that something else went wrong which you could not trace.
