This is utter bullshiiit. Why in the world will the writers make Stannis kill Shireen his heir? Stannis who apparently ate glue from book bindings rather than surrender Dragonstone until Davos came with his onions. Stannis the unbeliever. Stannis! What bloody manner of character development is this? It makes zero sense. Seriously, what's a few weeks in winter to Stannis a man of war that he should surrender his child to that witch of a woman?

Methinks the director of this show is cray cray and I hate the emerging pattern. Something bad-- with a nasty shock value has to happen that ends up with a woman suffering. Nah, I don't like that.
They needn't have bothered with all the scenes involving Stannis affirming his love for Shireen only to come kill her for nothing!
Unless emotionally manipulating the audience is the new IT.

That said, I liked watching the emotion on Dany's face. It shifted from horror to admiration to love to disgust, amusement, shock, fear, resignation, relief, joy, anxiety, courage and yeah my favourite ain't even got an adjective yet The girl can act!
But I don't believe we can call this taming Drogon yet. That dragon is way unruly to be tamed by one ride


I feared the night'swatch wouldn't let Jon Snow inside. But I hope he watches his back and keeps Ghost close. The brothers are not smiling.



Btw. Fvck Stannis. I hope he dies in Winterfell!

I agree with your last sentence but I have to break the news to you....
Dany is so dumb it's funny. She has 8000 Unsullied, 2000 second sons and several thousand freedmen from Yunkai and Mereen who took up arms, plus the city guard of Mereen. That's between 15 and 20 000 men at arms.

Mereen has 500 000 inhabitants, most of which are former slaves, blindly loyal to her.

Since everyone who is anyone in Mereen was at the stadium, I think she could have spared some 2000 men out of 20 000 to keep the peace. I don't see her making a good queen.

The show just took one of the most favorite characters in the book and made him a idiot mad man with delusions of grandeur. This is a man who was said to be all about family and honor,who was shown to love his daughter and then turns around to do the most despicable action possible. it is also very stupid.

1. His army is made of mostly unbelievers, people who are going to have a problem with burning children and with the stuff they've been through might just rebel.

2. Let's assume he wins, no great house is going to support him once they learn of this. it is too much a reminder of Aerys the Mad King. So how exactly does he plan to take the Iron Throne now?

Character-wise too, this puts him above Ramsay, Roose, Joffrey, Tywin, Cersei and Walder Frey. Say what you want about how terrible those characters were, atleast they never burned their children for the sake of ambition.

BTW, I was soooo gutted to see Shireen go out that way. It was just sooo cruel. It's maybe nice for the development of the tv-story sha, seeing as it brought about a twist and all that, though at the cost of what remains of Stannis' humanity.


Loved that look on Tyrion's face when he saw Drogon come to the rescue. It's priceless.

He didnt have to do that. Part of his duty to the realm is to provide an heir, and he burned that heir. Do you know there have been wars over lesser things than succession. Dont you think there could be another Stannis vs Renly case ? Why would Stannis suddenly succumb to this. Its disgusting. And if somehow he makes it out of this,and nothing goes wrong it's as bad writing as the Sand Snake's and Littlefinger this season.

Yes.. the old man is an insurance salesman. He collects large sums of money from sailors before they embark on a trip, if they die on their journey he is supposed to give the money to the sailors widow and kids. Instead he keeps their money for himself. So one of his victims prayed to the many face God and Arya is there to answer the prayer.

There can be no series as good as game of thrones, period!
