Saraki Senate Presidency: Tinubu Blasts President Buhari by properous22: 8:00am On Jun 11, 2015
Tinubu, who on Wednesday through the Nation Newspaper, in an article titled “The untold story of PDP’s coup behind Saraki’s Senate Presidency” pointed an accusing finger at President Buhari for displaying neutrality in who emerges as the Senate President without due regard to the fate of the party.

According to Tinubu; “Despite the choice of National Assembly leaders being a mixture of party politics and legislative duty, the aloofness, or the perceived neutrality of the President allowed the ‘fight’ within APC to fester until it went of hand.”

He explained that the invitation of the APC lawmakers to the International Conference Centre, ICC, was said to be at the behest of the President; shockingly, the President did not show up.

“The bewildered 51 APC Senators, who were waiting endlessly for the President in ICC, watched the proceeding of the inaugural session from a nearby TV box.

“Before the 51 APC Senators could race down the five-kilometre stretch from ICC to the Assembly Complex, Saraki had emerged as an unopposed candidate.

No need

Buhari should know that Tinubu means well for the party...it is like a pet project to him.

The reason PDP so much wants his downfall is cos they know that a strong tinubu will remain a nightmare to PDP.

Buhari shoukd learn from his 1985 coup that acting "mr nice" doesn't work in Nigeria.

That was how David Mark, Sambi Dasuki and 2 other officers "nicely" walked into his state house, sat down, ate dinner with him, watched the 9pm news with him, laughed out loud before bringing out the pistol to send him on house arrest.

Saraki is patting him on the back while slowly rubbing the power off him...and Tinubu has nothing much to lose.

Wise up Buhari. Wise up

Just maybe PMB's stance of not intervening in the NASS election was all lies. Maybe PMB's preferred option for that seat had all along been Bukola Saraki grin. Tinubu, surely feeling the heat now and all he sees is betrayal everywhere.

I am happy for one thing, godfatherism is gradually fading away and this is good for our politics and as for Bukola Saraki, na you be the new Maradona grin grin

even if I may not like the alliance with PDP I love the way fatherism is going

sarike would have still won if all senators were present since PDP is backing him.

good for democracy. our two party system is growing and not the one party system. winner take all is obsoleting

What was Tinubu expecting? He got his victory with the help of 'traitors' common sense dictates you dont trust anyone that betrays his party.

The president being neutral shows good leadership...the APC national working committee were trying to impose candidates on them..seems that's all tinubu is good at imposing people..this is federal level not south west..

Though am not a fan of Tinubu because of his feudal and "grabbish" tendencies;and a diehard supporter of PMB since 2007 because of my firm belief in his person and abilities;on this score am fully with Tinubu.
The aloofness and wanting to be seen to be "more democratic" than democracy itself of PMB has put the party and most importantly the nation on this absurd, totally wrong and potentially derailing path.
There is no reason on earth for PMB to have allowed the emergence of a Saraki/ekweremadu senate;its unheard of and totally wrong.
PMB has done wrong and must correct this mistake using whatever means he can find. Those means are readily available to him;let's hope he can use them, not just to save himself, the party but particularly the nation.
Saraki/ekweremadu senate presidency must not stand!

Tinubu and the West got played a fast one. Take a look at all the positions. Osinbanjo is not carried along because apart from lacking experience in politics. ..he is perceived as Tinubu's spy. He has no clout. Does not even have self confidence. Saraki really watered down his ego by calling him mere commissioner. Am not sure he could win counselors seat in his ward. This is a total lost to the West

Hmmm, does it mean that the emergence of Tambuwal was an absurd and a totally wrong phenomenon that railroaded GEJ's administration?
So ACN/APC delieberately destroyed GEJ's administration and you applauded them while blaming GEJ?

Babaonechance is reaping from your misadventure.

Did Tambuwal chose an APC deputy then?
Did Tambuwal get elected with half of the house.
Meanwhile Tambuwal needed APC than APC needed him to have won the sokoto governorship.
Buhari has a cult like following that many like Tambuwal capitalised on to win their new positions. He better start making use of his enormous goodwill and fellowership now;less he allows unsuited people like Saraki to usurp his powers.I trully believe and am happy this Saraki treachery has happened now because it would make PMB to sit up and start doing those things we voted him for.
As for Saraki he would continue having sleepless nights till he reverses himself.
