Lmao. That's the feeling. But after 2 yrs things go normalize. The main hustle starts after graduation.

Hello guys.
I'm completing my online app. Pls, i need help here: The cost of my studies will be Tuition, Room and board, others. Pls, what should be under room and board, n others? Should i write an estimated living expenses?

For room and board, put the figure advised by your university, or give your own sound estimate based on personal research. Same goes for others.

Let me be the first to release good news from those on the list of TRV hopefuls....

I just got a request for my medicals....I almost fainted when i got the email and was shaking as I was logging into my account.

But I did an upfront medicals sha and i uploaded the proof of medicals to my app. I guess I will just contact the hospital to send my result.

I am soooo happy, considering the fact that I applied with my daughter... I Can't stop thanking God.

...and to think that I just sent @Taike an email telling her how scared I am and I also sent @mrnlbrown an email for an option 2 with aussie...

Applied 15 may (online)
Biometrics 19 May
medical call 11 June

Less than a month!!! Na God win ooooo

Congrats dear! Was closely following ur app, cos we seem to be in similar situation. I've got 2 kids, and wouldn't want to leave them behind.

Hello everyone, just want to announce that by the grace of God, I have just received a request for medicals. My application wasn't perfect in my eyes, but I thank God for His favour. Special thanks also to @SeyiMiilan, @haustralia and @seiraries, who specifically responded to my various requests, to @pchax, whose SOP was a template upon which I developed mine, and to other members of this thread who continue to provide support and information to those in need. May God grant you all your heart desires. Amen.

congrats dear!

decided to post this in hope that it would ease the tension around here. before I was almost waiting for my rejection mail but God showed me that I cant use other people's lives as yardstick for mine.

so if u re here waiting for that ultimate call, believe in God and every other thing would be simplified in your favour.

The irony of the situation is that in smaller cities where you can find affordable tuition getting a job as quickly as possible might be difficult. I have wanted to state here that for those who are looking to sponsor themselves they should avoid those small cities or towns because getting a job will be difficult and if you eventually do get a job it might pay you just the minimum wage. If you so wish to come to Canada I would advice you just apply for a one year program in any good city where jobs will be readily available. It took me three months to get a job even though I started looking of a job even before my plane land sef. I know peeps from here who have being in Canada for almost a year and still haven't gotten a job;you might want to call them lazy but no, they are not. Them don find job them don tire.
I really appreciated ur reply, can u recommend a school where i can apply for the one year program and what are d chances of getting a working permit and maybe PR after graduation. Once again thanks for your reply

Undergrad or postgraduate?

Undergrad tuition is contigent on a number of factors but If you are going for postgrad, with the right profile, you may not even have to pay a dime.

Let us know your profile and your choice location of study and you will get the best advice.

Undergraduate. Location will determine where i get the most affordable tuition.

So many schools offer one year diploma or certificate programs. Just do a little research. Since you have PR in mind you may wanna consider what province you study in as well. Some provinces have easy immigration rules than others. For now I think Saskatchewan and maybe Manitoba have the best and easiest Provincial Nominee Programs.

Room and Board depends on ur province. People normally put 10,000 CAD..
'Others' is like miscellaneous, you can put frm 5k and above..
NB: those figures are for 1year ooo..
*i stand to be corrected*

First application refused, reason: relationship to sponsors not established.

Aside other documents & CiC forms, which are still intact, I intend to arrange my documents this way. Please, I choose to do it this way since i want to include the previous SOAs as well as the new SOAs. Also, as a result of limited file size, which is 4MB)
PROOF OF FUNDING
1. Letter of Sponsorship
2. Sponsor's Declaration
3. Affidavit of Financial Support
4. Sponsor's Statement of Account
5. Payslips - 3 months
6. My Statement of Account
7. Pensions Account

LETTER OF EXPLANATION
1. Letter of Introduction from Employer
2. SOP
3. Resume
4. Employment letter
5. Work place ID
6. Certifications
7. Explanation on relationship to sponsor (with pictorial evidence)
8. Sponsor's Biodata page
9 . sponsor's Business documents like CAC & Tax clearance certificate
10. Sponsors Land documents

Please advise.

Sometimes they respond, other times they don't respond. My rule of thumb is if they haven't responded in three days, it is unlikely they will respond without your sending them a gentle reminder.
