It is obvious that messi/ronaldo took football to another dimension that makes most fans think football is all about goals.how many goals did zidane got when he won the best player award?if goal scoring is the main criteria for choosing world best player then zidane wouldn't have make the top 20 and more so player like thierry henry wouldve won it like twice.

We think the best footballer is the one who delivers the most assists in a season. We fail to realise that football revolves beyond assists and goals. Some one has to string the passes together. This season Neymar scored lots of goals not because he's been exceptional but simply because he plays in front of very good players. I know lots of other players that would perform better in Neymar's role last season. I know lots of other players with lower goals but better conversion rates. Aguero in Neymar's role would deliver better than Neymar based on what we've seen over time. But since Neymar scored more van we now say Neymar is better? Rubbish. Please let's be realistic football involves a lot more than just finishing off chances. The reason Messi has been better than Cr7 this season isn't because of goals (cr7 had more) but because Messi has always made a difference in every game whether he scored or not. Even in the UCL final without scoring a goal Messi was comfortably Barca's second best player that might in my eyes. His angle pass to Alba stretched the defence so that iniesta could exploit the space to find Rakitic on marked. Players who make a difference consistently should be award more a claim than those who finish off others chances. Hazard has done better than Neymar in that respect. Even sports pundits(most) have put Hazard ahead for a reason. I wonder why we're still having this argument.

neymar's role at barca is different from hazard role at chelsea and both players are doing well in their respective role

1. It takes more strenght and commitment to perform in a tougher like EPL compare to Laliga. Ronaldo could nt win best player until he gnt to spain. Scoring and Dribling are easy in spain than england. I belief hazard wil do more if he go to spain.
2. Hazard is playing in a team where most of the attacking responsibility lies on his shoulder. Sometime he does the wrk of d midfielder and another thme, he attacks with dribling. Hazard has been instrumental to most of the game chelse won dis last season. He is a grate player.
In the other hand, neymer is playing with best midfielder (iniester), best and volatile attackers (messi and Suarex) and other grate player. He has little task to perform on the field because bulk of the wrk hav been done. He is also a good player.

only messi carry his teams(barca n argentina) because he play-make, he is the driving force, we saw his magic at WC, he scored solo goals when the team was struggling...cr7 is a flop for portugal(after been grouped with the likes of luxemburg, israel they couldn't qualifer directly except through play-off....neymar is not carrying brazil and he can never carry them in his career, brazil is brazil, i.e, they can win without him, dont give me that germany mauling as an example because even if neymar played that day it wouldn't change anything, brazil have been poor right from their first match, they were been lucky and considering they are the host, ref helped them as well. bale is trying for wales. hazard is a selfless player, you hardly see him in the 18-yard box due to he falls deep to create for the team, he is not messi who can do both at same time..to me, no difference between wales n belgium because both haven't won a trophy since my existence. wales have players too who are very 'dugged' and competitive due to most of them play in epl(competitive and 'dugged' league). haba! see ur logic, so anybody that score tap-in carry his team according to you..only messi qualify to this ur logic because he play-make, he is the driving force, he does magic when his team mate are down.

you are still refering to tap-in goals that neymar score even when he is trying to lecture you that football is not just who scored carry the day, he gave example of cr7 scoring(most of his goals are tap-in as well just like neymar.) more than messi this season..neymar couldn't do jack last season because messi played false9 but this season messi was shifted to right wing, he was pulling the string for neymar to score tap-in
