How can people wakeup and trek all the way from Lagos?Did Atiku send them?Besides GEj we know,PMB we know.Who are they trekking for?Well in life,the early bird gets the fattest worm but it is only the second mouce that gets the cheese.

Three men, who trekked to Yola in honour of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, are now stranded in Yola.

The men, Salihu Jibrin, Aliyu Adamu and Abubakar Suleiman, who spoke to newsmen on Saturday in Yola, said since their arrival, they have been unable to see their mentor, Atiku.

They said all they needed was to see Atiku or his representatives to deliver their messages and go back to their various destinations.

“I trekked for 38 days all the way from Lagos to Yola to see Atiku in view of his role over APC’s victory in the general election but up till now I hAve been unable to see him.

“I am now stranded with no money to go back; at times I sleep in motor parks or squat with good Samaritans,” Jibrin said.

Adamu, who rode on a bicycle from Kaduna to Yola, said he spent eight days on the way.

“I want to thank the Secretary, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Adamawa Council, Mr. Baba Zare, who had been assisting me since arrival to cope with the difficult situation I found myself.

“I want to meet Atiku before finding my way back to Kaduna,” Adamu said.

On his part, Suleiman, who trekked from Shelleng town, Adamawa, to Yola said he had been squatting from one relation to the other while waiting for an opportunity to see Atiku before going back home.

I'm aware they flew back to their destinations but not sure of the money aspect. Besides, if the money is not in the range of millions, then it's not worth it considering the risk. If anybody feels no risk was involved, the recent missing trekker is enough proof.

All these trekkers are very stupid and foolish, how would they trek in d honor of someone and yet they want money from him!now that are stranded they are now crying out. Did Atiku ask u to trek for him?u are on ur own. Being Jobless is d reason for these unnecessary treks all around d country. I just hope dat dey end dis madness asap

why don't they convert this trekking to Olympics sports where they will be monitored per time to ensure compliance, then the allocate prizes to the best trekkers instead of them embarrassing there entire generation and neighbourhood.

All this trek trek, are we witnessing the begining of hobos, tramps, wanderers, nomads in Nigeria? I bet if you took to the road now, you would encounter multiples of so called trekkers wandering the nigerian highway system, and soon it would become a hubby. great
