This senators no get job...all of them are criminals and selfish...both APC and PDP.

Nigerians this is the time to focus our searchlight into the activities of this senators and scrutinize all their moves especially in this administration.

This is where intelligent TANOIDS should focus all their rants on and allow Buhari to settle down and focus on other issues.

If pressure is diverted on them, Buhari will be given the chance to perform and they will all buckle up.

When i say APC members are suffering from selective memory, i am termed a tanoid, take a look at osun, apc memory never shifts towards that side, but always to an erring pdp state/member.

Now consider tambuwal and co, they never asked the to resign, now the want ekweremadu to resign, that shows you that apc is just like any other nigerian party, selfish, greedy, ambitious with a total disregard for the common citizen.

Your consistent and paranoid obsession with "TANOIDS" is a clear pointer that all is not well in your cerebral processes. Perhaps you need prolonged and sustained counselling for you to realise that Buhari is NOW in Power. Go to the nearest psychiatric hospital or find your way to Yaba left. You desperately need psychiatric redemption man...

They fail to understand that that ship has sailed. If they like they should not settle down and start carrying out their sworn duties. So now the National Assembly Clerk is expected bound by political party summons in carrying out his statutory duties when he clearly ought to be non-partisan. Did the same President not issue a letter to the clerk directing him to proclaim the 8th Assembly open and proceed with the inauguration? They better wake up from their sleep. When they were supposed to be at the NASS Complex, they were going for party meeting so what about Senators not elected on the APC platform? So they expect their party activities to superscede national functions? Jokers!

[size=18pt]Busy Bodies.... these guys will RUIN PMB immediately!!

Corruption is not Stealing...

Corruption is a "BACK door" manipulation of the Clerk of The Senate!!

Are the Now saying that PMB was unduly using his Position to Favour a Politician

If 55 is the actual number by law, then senator Ndume who called for an election of the deputy senate president as opposed to the consensus gift giving to Saraki must have played a fast one on the PDP Senators. I know the least the APC will be comfortable with is to throw away the deputy senate president seat. At the end of it all, I see the PDP senators facing serious embarrassment.
The senate standing order, the rule upon which all businesses of the senate is conducted stipulated that 1/3 of the whole members of the senate forms the Quorum. So 77 is far more than that number and getting 54 out of 77 makes him legally elected under the law. APC are just being silly and unnecessarily heating-up the polity. Ekweremadu is legally elected.

These people are either daft or too blinded by hate and ambition for them to be capable of any rational disposition. They should be aware that their position is untenable as simple majority applies to senators present at the time of election once quorum is formed. The clerk is not under the president and does not need the president permission to carry on with his constitutional duties so why are they calling for him for his probe?

Ekweramadu resign? That will be after Buhari and Osinbajo resigned. These APC Senators should get over it and get used to their opposition role in the Senate.

Senator Ike has come to stay!

.

Don't be fooled by what those losers are saying. The law clearly states that the house can seat once a quorum has been formed, the house can seat. The quorum required for a senate sitting is one third of the house, which is about 40. The constitution further states that to elect the SP and DSP, a simple majority is needed. The constitution never said the simple majority must be a simple majority of 55. No, rather the simple majority is the simple majority of members present. In this case even if Ekwerenmadu had gotten 40 votes out of 72 members present then, he still would have won. So the aggrieved losers have no case.

If Senator Ekweremadu must require 55 votes out of the 109 or 108 senators (with one dead senator elect) to become the deputy speaker that is to say that President Buhari must get over 35m votes out of the over 70m registered voters to be President. Apc should just swallow the humble pie and allow peace to reign, because some of the Apc's senators are beginning to sound childish and ignorant of the law.

Resign keh? Seems like these Anti-Saraki boys doesnt know that Senator Ike Ekweremadu is a 4th term senator and thus is more politically wise and experienced in the Senate affairs than them.
He was legally elected and no amount of wailing will make him resign. It can only be the other way round which means that you are going to resign from the senate because of frustration. Arrant nonsense!

Ekwerenmadu has no option than to resign. The APC may live with the reality of Saraki as the Senate President, but not Ekwerenmadu as the Deputy. The majority party cannot afford to allow an opposition as a the Deputy Senate President. Its like living with a devil who you fast and pray against. If he does not resign, he should be strategically impeached. That's my honest and bold view.

there r only two tthngs that can make ekweremadu lleave dat seat, 1 is if he resigns n two if he is impeach. if we go by the 2nd option the house needs 2third of memberss which is 72 senators to vote on this. at the moment i cant see that POSSIBLE!
SO THEY SHOULD ACCEPT DEFEAT N MOVE ON WITH THE LOOTING!

Please enlighten me the more, why 55?
I guess, the interpretation is that the half of 109 is 54.5 and u can't get 0.5 for human being, thus, the least u can get to win is 55 as against ur opponent having 54 , that is in the case of all the senators being present for the election, and in the case were they are not all present, the seat of the DSP should be vacant until they are all present so as to attain the 55 man least VOTE?

The moment APC understands NIGERIAN POLITICS and simple MATHEMATICS and INTERPRETATION of LAW the better for them and all NIGERIANS that ELECTED them.

This is the same thing that cost them the seat of SP, because they are all ignorant of the law, they don't know how things re done, they don't know simple addition and subtraction.

Arithmetic Is wat ruined their plans on SP. They all came out without thinking 1st and said that saraki's election is null and void. Until they went back and did their calculations only to realize that there is absolutely nothing they could do bout it other than accept him, otherwise they will fight until they are all tired.

They wan come do d same thing with ekweremadu? Ekweremadu has been in the senate b4 them, thus, knows better than dem all.

They should go and rest. They should be glad that PDP didn't go for SP, cos if they had gone for it, they would ve won and it will be bidding by law because it is constitutionally right.

The PDP knew if they went for the Senate President position, the 8 APC senators present would have refused to vote for them. It would have been an all PDP affair and thus easier to be overruled by the court. Moreover, the uproar that would have ensued would not be too good for the country.

They are able to pull this off just because to some extent Saraki too has some level of support in the APC. You'll soon see that at the end of it all, it is the Deputy senate president position that will be used for reconciliation. No need to talk too much. Just wait and see. It is at that point that the PDP will realise that Saraki just used them for his own ambition.
