So how did tyrion, daario and all escaped being butchered ![]() And why didn't they show us that fight between stannis and bolton rather than just giving us the end of it ![]() And that was so touching between myrcella and jamie, too bad she had to die...I suspected that kiss was outta line, if only. This ep just had sad tales written all over it, from start to finish. |

gj22:If you jump from high up enough, landing on any amount of snow is as good (or bad) as landing on a cement floor. And they did jump from really up high... I really hope they survive - Sansa at least - but D'&'D are such sticklers for real life. |

luxanne:Got has never really focused on the battles themselves but the outcomes and stories that result from them. "Hardhome" was epic though and it was used to tell us more about white walkers and an additional way to kill them (valyrian steel). The books and the series aren't actually on par yet. The series is ahead of the books in some stories while the books are ahead in others. |

Samunosuke:Too bad. I was earnestly looking forward to that battle tho, seeing the bloodbath would have been epic just like the hardhome's |

LeSulk:More or less... mostly yes. The only plot the show is yet to catch up on are the events in the Iron Islands... and I suspect the show is cutting that out entirely. On every other thing, the show has either caught up, or diverged entirely. All we book-lovers have now are speculations, and trust me, we've had YEARS to speculate. |

luxanne:Yeah, ever since the Battle of Blackwater which was very detailed in the books but was basically glossed over in the series, I tempered my expectations for large scale battles in Got. It's also part of the reason that episode 8 of season 5 left me breathless. I wasn't expecting such epic scenes. Reminds me of a few hopeless situations in The Walking Dead. That ending though, when the Chief White Walker raises his hands and the dead come to life. I passed out. Epic. Amazing. Highlight of the series so far for me because I am genuinely curious about the white walkers. |

I was looking around online, and I saw this: There are valid arguments that Jon is not coming back. The fact that HE GOT STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES IN PLACES YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES is a big one, for instance. But to paraphrase Lucille Bluth, I don’t understand the argument, and I won’t respond to it. I choose to apply the Iron Islands philosophy to the Jon Snow situation: “What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger.” Let’s hope those Greyjoys are right for once.Hmm. ![]() Source: http://www.mtv.com/news/2184712/game-of-thrones-jon-snow-dead But mind spoilers... although, I dunno, spoilers don finish na. |

Something just occurred to me... Isn't it funny that the most epic battle in the show is one that NEVER even happened in the books? Or is it that that battle will still happen in the books? And if so, is it just me or isn't that a carefully crafted message to us concerning a certain beloved character? ![]() |

@Tgirl4real I believe Khaleesi took off her ring so that Ser Jorah and Daario would have a clue as to where she's been once they come searching for her..There can't be any other logical reason in my mind oo |

luxanne:Even though I was expecting Jon's exit (thanks to the books) I thought he still had more time thanks to him being such a well loved character. But they needed a big 'kill' to justify season 5 and they chose Jon as the scape goat ![]() Sam Tarly would have been so dead. They'd have used him for target practice lol they'd definitely have killed him if he was there. It's normal to kill off the supporter(s) of an enemy to avoid repercussions or loose ends. I'm still hoping they bring Jon back because seriously we have a lot of questions we need to ask about his character. Who was his mother and real father if not Ned Stark? Why was Melisandre so interested in him etc |

Jon snow got killed by the Character killer once again, Before episode 8 i thought to myself that my favourite character was Jon snow, that he was the only one that was trying to do a sincerely good thing and that was seeing beyond the selfishness of the battles by those contesting for the throne and really fighting for the safety of the land, willing to unite two warring races for the greater good and that was when it occurred to me that he was going to die; 1. He was my favourite character 2. He was good In game of thrones either you're suffering in captivity or you're bad, that's the only way you survive. and up till now, no one had really died in the entire season and he seemed like a good candidate. When the first white walker dropped unto the snow in the battle of hardhome, my mind jumped, because i was sure this was where he was going to get killed, i was o happy he survived. I was so sad to be right this time. A thought or should i say revelation i have had with Jon's death is that George is not serious with the white walkers, They are never gonna come, the power play is more important to the man than the white walkers. I have not read the books but with Jon's death, that is what i am seeing. Maybe they will come in a final battle to end the series like Lord of the Rings but that will be it, very last book |

And another thing, there are two possible reasons why Jon's death scene, the close-up on his face took that long, the second reason makes me have hope. 1. It is just the perfect ending to an Epic season 2. Jon's not really Dead, he almost looked like he was icing into a white walker. Let me just keep the hope alive thill next year |

Jahblessme:No she took off her rings because she wanted to hide her identity. More punishment for a queen than a mere peasant girl. Thinking those approaching her may be enemies. But i think they turned out to be friends who adore her. just when you think it is all over and all hope is gone then then recognition and praise comes from nowhere |

kazzonline:Just two(three) have officially died in this generation. Its less than the Lannisters that have died. I think you guys exaggerate. Its simply that the rest are seperated, not that they're dead. |
