genearts:I'll diagree with you on that because Buhari's desperation/quest for power cost a lot of lives esp in 2011. Have you forgotten so soon? Can u imagine what would have happened if GEJ was as desperate as he was during the general elections? Buhari executed a coup in this country, he has no moral grounds to contest an election in a sane clime, not to talk of governing one. That is a story for another day. Anyways, I pray he performs his wonders for the sake of our country and our kids. |

What else should he have gone to G7 to do. Boast and brag that everything is alright and rosy and that Nigerians don't need help? Please swallow your pride and get real. Nigeria is in a seriously dire situation... |

Wonder what we've achieved by early independence if after several decades of so called independence we run back to the colonial masters begging for alms. South Africa had done much better economically under prolonged british rule so much so that the rest of black African nations run there for greener pastures. If they had gotten their independence much earlier i'm sure their story would have been same as ours. WHAT IS SO WRONG WITH THE BLACK MAN'S MENTALITY that he can't rise from the ashes of mediocrity and injustice. JUST IMAGINE NASS CLOTHING ALLOWANCE WHEN THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN ABJECT POVERTY. |

CaptPlanet:You just verified the same point I am trying to make -- you can hardly trust any of these crooks -- hence why you can't name any of them for 'presidency, finance, defence, nor petroleum'. Technocrats steal too! Nigeria has never been short of technocrats, we've been short of trustworthy, selfless and accountable leaders! It's a systemic problem, like you rightly pointed out above. People voted for Buhari not because he is the smartest politician or leader, rather they voted for him because he is the most disciplined, fearless, with reputation and fear-factor. I'd take a disciplined, incorruptible Joe, over an undisciplined corruptible and timid technocrat with no reputation all day. I can trust Murtala Muhammed, Dora, Idiagbon, but they are no more! Who else can I trust among our crop of politicians? NONE! I might have missed a name, but right now, none comes to mind. I don't know if anyone else has any. |

genearts:the reason why I picked atiku and kwankwanso is because u need someone who has and is already in the system . Both men have always been in the system and knows what is going on , buhari doesn't know, the truth is buhari will need a lot of time to get used to modern day governance. You are perfectly right about utomi not been a politician but I think he is very intelligent and would have easily picked up withing a matter of weeks .it is always good to choose a leader from those in the knowhow. If atiku is the president now, he won't spend 21 days thinking of whom to appoint to key positions because he knows those he needs and wants. |

The president is having a broader glimpse of the country's situation.. Many of this countries are sponsors of Boko Haram..Now let us put the matter to them & see their reaction. This is a very simple military intelligence.. Please let us allow PMB to do his work effectively .at least give six months before you start dissecting his policy & program..I sincerely believed he needs time..The economy is bad that is the simple truth. All the billions PDP elements were throwing around for campaign where did they get them ? They have unction Nigeria's economy. That is why am not too pleased with those who want to immortalize Goodluck Jonathan. I don't know why they are doing this ,perhaps for running our economy aground or what. If not for barbarism that somebody handed over power in an election he lost is that a reason to immortalize him ? We must however tell our president to sit up earlier for proper governance. He should have known those to use as ministers before even contesting as president..that is the difference between digital & analog leaders. To succeed in this century you must think far ahead of your peers.. The western world carry the same brain like us they did not fall from heaven even we defeat them in their own nation in academics . They are organized & that is what differentiate us. |
