That is a good point. All the components can be produced in Nigeria except the solar cells. I will look into the posibility of manufacturing solar cells with the available resources we have here. But that would be a long way to go.

You are right. It was 2yrs ago. I lost interest in solar energy when they told me the cost of their solar panels, batteries and inverters.



Pls may you give us their address or contacts. Thanks for this information. Meanwhile, I am gradually gathering the neccesary tools. Unfortunately, I still have to import most of the tools. Nigeria is really lagging behind.

I have not come across any tread in this forum that talks about solar panel manufacturing. Also, I have not heard anything like solar panel manufacturing company in Nigeria. It seems every body in Naija want already made products from foreign countries. This shows how lazy we all are. I have volunteered to take the lead in this subject of solar panel manufacturing. At the end of this project, you will see how easy it is to make a solar panel. You will be able to manufacture your own solar panel with small amount of money. The last time I checked for the price of a soalr panel of about 240Watts, the sellers told me 120,000 naira. This is too high and scares people away from tapping from the numerous benefits of solar power. It is far more cheap to construct your own solar panels than to buy already made ones. Just be prepared to throw away your generator soon.

still in the process. but trying to make a high quality and durable ones. The challenge so far is lack of laminating machine. But i am looking for an alternative to that.
