Today BBM for Android finally starts looking like an Android app. Following a period of less than stellar looks, the app now fully embraces Google’s Material Design principles. A better version of the app went out at the beginning of the month, and now it’s stable enough for everyone to use. Thus, you can already find it in the Google play store. But the new paint job isn’t the only changed thing about BBM for Android. It also comes with a new feature called Private Chat.

I like the new update. Faster to operate. Some things can be improved upon though.

Gotta admit, BlackBerry brought their A game with this update.. Material design at its best, looks better than WhatsApp and all those silly messaging apps..

That feature has always been there.

Concerning the improvements, I wasn't able to use the private chat feature, and yes, i tried it with someone who had updated too.

The interface has a light contrast, i would prefer deeper colours.

Overall, i prefer this update to the previous.

That's the major and prolly the only flaw I have detected on the app. They shld include settings to change the background. That option alone will be supergreat

It is a flaw. It's too whitish, not everybody is comfortable with whitish background especially In a situation where u can't edit it using custom settings . I don't subscribe to adding a mutual friend as a contact.
