Please does anyone know the cost of this second installment fee. I'm afraid my wife's IELTS is 18 months old. I can't seem to find the information on the new website

It's about 4k dollars or so. Let her get a letter from her uni stating she was taught in English.

If that is not available, she can do PTE and get her result in days.

She can redo if needed. To get functional English is not hard. Although it is time to know who u married. N40,000=$4,000AU? Meanwhile, DIBP wants it not more than 36 months!

I'm very sure you'd not want to pay it. Go get her a letter from her school registry stating she schooled in English. Throw in her PSLC and SSCE cert. with it.

Yeap...that's what my husband submitted. You can get it from student affairs/registrar's office. But if your school take a lot of time in processing stuff, then better do PTE. You know how Naija schools can be unnecessarily slow.

Hi Pingu2k5,
I am still waiting for your call.

pingu2k5:
You only need one letter of good standing and u can get that same day you apply at the Island office. You should be able to get the transcripts within a week, all things being equal, at the Oyingbo office.

I got my Police clearance same day for N5k at Police headquarters, Alagbon, Ikoyi. You will need to get a police clearance for every migrating dependent that is 16 years or older.

I will call you.

Does anyone understand how the occupation ceiling works?

Seeing as the numbers haven't reset as the new year opened today, does '2014-2015 programme year' mean the ceiling is for applications from Jan '14-Dec '15 or July '14-June '15??

The visas will soon be made available.
The current fiscal year is July 2015-June 2016. It's crazy as some occupations don't even use half of their allocations... they should be rechannelling.

Hello House, Please I want to understand the end from the beginning. As regards visa application, What is the visa acceptance rate for Streamlined Visa Processing(SVP)? Is it advisable for a student(Masters Appl) to use this route? is it better than AL3 ish? Please help

I used certified docs for my visa application. Sailed through. Apparently, notarized or certified documents can be used interchangeably. I stand corrected though.

ewagbamio:
@scrollmeout,thanks I sent you a PM

@ernestudezi, thanks a lot too, but what are the practical differences between notarized and certified docs especially in the context of Australia imi plans? Are certified documents accepted in lieu of notarized docs?

Thanks my brother. I was told I don't have to submit a bank statement using the SVP. Please is this true?

Yes it is. The AL3 is very brutal. Steer clear.

Well done to everyone making out time to share information here.

@ Pingu2k5 Did you claim points for work experience? I have about 6 years work experience, however, I just got qualified last year. I have decided to do my assessment with ICAA but I am scared as I do not know if they will recognize my pre-qualification work experience(seeing that the Accounting BSc alone usually doesn't cut it with all the assessing authorities).

Does ur B.Sc have all the recently added courses? If u know u don't have all it takes to cut it ..don't waste the cash. Only work experience doesn't qualify one.

I got my BSc like 8 years ago, what I meant was that I just got chartered last year.

Chartered as in ICAN and stuff? Its inclusion will negate d migration points test of ur 8 yrs of work experience. If u don't include it u don't get comparability. So it's damn u if u do, damn u if u don't. However, u look for d lost points elsewhere like from English test.

Note: They will recognize ur post B.Sc work years and experience if relevant to ur nominated occupation to satisfy suitability but no migration points. So don't claim any points... because there won't be any as ur ICAN or whatever comes on board.

please are there six months to twelve months school programme available in Australia that can still give visas, regardless of the level of higher education one has already?

Thanks
