Sharia law persecutes only the poor. Rich muslims're above stupid laws created thousands of years ago.

The hypocrisy of "christians"; they bash another religion claiming the prophet is non-existent while they pray in churches every sunday to a god they're not sure is real.

Every human life matters, no matter what religion. I congratulate and show support to the [url=generaliy07]OP[/url] for starting this initiative even though I have no twitter account.

THE NORTH NEEDS A REPUBLIC

This does not have to lead us to making divisive and inflammatory statements as the one quoted above.

The Nigerian constitution recognizes different system of laws for different regions in Nigeria.
The sharia is a personal law that applies in the North and only binds those who accept the Islamic faith. The important questions here are- are the convicts muslims? did they commit blasphemy which is punishable by death under such written law?

Another important question would be whether there is such law/ offense under which they are convicted. whether or not such law is good or bad is not a question for the purpose of their conviction.

Remember that the Nigerian constitution is yet to prohibit death sentence and until this is done, it is the duty of the judges to pass such sentence and for the hangman to carry out his duty in such circumstance without sentiments.

They are too extreme to be fair but you are not allowed to say anything cos you can easily be tagged blasphemious and whatever.

If the laws in their Koran stipulates death penalty for blasphemy and they still have adherents who say "Allah akhbar" to it when they know they have freedom of Religion . So be it , they are bound by it.

I can't cry more than the bereaved. BTW, I was expecting a Muslim to cry out not a Christian like the OP.

Obasanjo was wrong to not decisively cut off the sharia move in Zamfara when it started at the time he was in power. Remember how Nigeria (Nigerians) reacted at the time. It was outrageous to us. Now we have kind of accommodated it.

They will continue to subtly push and seduce our minds until there is no more any pretence about the Nigerian law being the second class irrelevancy not more than meaningless marks of ink on paper it is rapidly becoming for those who choose to dump it for Islamism.
