I served and I support his opinion that it be scrapped. Total waste of one year. I can't mention anything I achieved throughout that entire service year.

Even this country cannot mention it achievements in it's 54 years. This is a bad country.

The NYSC is a good idea, but the useless nigerian "leaders" spoilt it like they spoilt everything in the country.

Aimoye ghosts corpers that won't stay at ppa at all after camp, wa tun gba certificate. I guess their LGI is one very serious person, There's no need asking them to repeat a year, cos they'll still be paid. 3 months extension is okay and let them go.

How is this a story Anyway I had the opportunity to see few people that were given extension and repeat of service today, while others were crying and begging for mercy, i saw a young lady ranting and threatening all the officials to take the case to court . very funny corper that made my day

No big deal. I also served 3 months extension in Sokoto for writing against the state government.

Without pay...dats a big deal yo.

In my case, they said they would give me half allawi for each of the 3 month. Dem no give me shishi.

And I didn't bother to pursue it. Was more interested in my certificate.

I served the 3 months extension.

FREEEMANAN:
Mr Tumba Freeman, the Taraba Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, on Friday said that three 2014 Batch `B’ Corps Members (names withheld) would repeat their service year for misconduct.
Freeman made this known at a news conference in Jalingo, saying that the culprits were punished for absenteeism at their places of primary assignments for three consecutive months.

According to him, three other corp members died in the course of the service as a result of medical complications which they had in an accident during the service year.

The coordinator said that the agency had given awards to 10 corp members for their meritorious service during the service year.

“We rewarded them for their excellent service which they totally deserved. It may interest you to know that Taraba came second in terms of the number of corp members that received honors in the country. What we are simply doing is to recognise their contributions in community development, and to encourage other corps members to follow suit’’, Freeman said. (NAN)

IF THE THOUGHT OF EVEN EXTENDING MY SERVICE YEAR EVEN FOR A DAY OCCURS TO THOSE PEOPLE, NA THE LGI GO COMPLETE AM BY HIMSELF!!! Make we shine eye for this country oh. THAT CERTIFICATE IS FOR SALE TO THE RICH!!!

So Freeman,U get mind repeat 3 Corps members in dat harsh and stingy state,when u refused solicizing on our state allowee and one of those corp member is my friend. E no good ooo,6months state allowee una no pay us. Na God go jugde una
