hi guys do i need Educational Credential Evaluators or WES to evaluate or review my transcripts before sending it to niagara university for my masters program.some one please respond.

The only Niagara university I've read of is in the US. The one in canada is Niagara College and you don't need to evaluate your transcripts before sending to them.

Canada grading system is different sir...

A+ = 90 - 100
A = 85 - 89.99
A- = 80 - 84.99
B+ = 75 - 79.99
B = 70 - 74.99
C+ = 65 - 69.99
C = 60 - 64.99
Schools like university of Waterloo grades A+ = 95 - 100 in that sequence...down to the lowest grade.

So based on the above, a naija cgpa of 3.5 might fall somewhere between B and B+, but not an A.
N/B: The method of conversion is never 3.5/5*100 as some peeps say here.. The way it is calculated favours our naija cgpa at the end of the day.

In many universities I know of, any grade below a C+, i.e. Below 65 is a failing grade for graduate students and if one gets 2 courses below 65,the person will be withdrawn from the program. (I know of 2 ladies that went back to naija cos they made 2 courses less than 65).The only bail out in this case is to start afresh thereby paying fresh tuition fees and going back to square one (that's if your school is kind enough ooo).

So, if anyone wants to come to Canny unprepared (for the worst), thereby leading to maximum distraction so as to meet up by all means... He has to think about his/her grades.

Truth be told.... There must be a trade-off at the end of the day between your grades and working during studies. Just try to ensure that it does not lead to a failure.

For undergraduate.... I'm yet to see anyone that studied 4 years in Canada catering for himself all thru without any support from home being that undergraduate is damn too expensive and scholarships are very rare to come by..

Guys let us be guided as we take our decisions please cos if it gets out of hand, even the guys you call your friends will tell you there is nothing they can do to help (some will even stop picking your calls/start avoiding you like Ebola before you come and ask them for money).
In disguise, all man is OYO for this country ooo.
Did u school at waterloo? So their A+ is different ehn..Its alright.....

Hello everyone,

Alongside five years experience as a volunteer teacher, i hold a First class honors(CGPA 4.5 on a 5 point scale) Bachelor of Science degree in geography, a Nigerian Certificate in Education and several awards which includes 2014 Best Departmental Graduating Student, etc .
Recently offered graduate assistant oppurtunity by University of Lagos (Nigeria), i seek a Graduate program ( preferably doctoral ) in my field (geography and planning) in US, Canada or Australia based on provided scholarship and future prospect after study.
Since this thread is for Canada ( from 1 -8, i hail!, una try), i will like to acquire infomation from those who have successfully done what am planning in canada or elsewhere and look forward to prompt responses to ensure my early preparation for 2016 fall admission.
Thank you.

Best Regards,
Dare M. Adeyemi

You are such a clown........you dey try form true nigerian abi.

Onyeoma3:

It's pretty much allowed but you must touch with full consent sha... Some sharp dudes even apply for white babes and TRV at the same time... And have everything set upon arrival.

I'm not a fan of whites though, I prefer made in Nigeria goods and services to the core.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by kfrosh: 2:46pm On Jul 05, 2015
You have lots of researching to do. First thing is for you to decide which way to go either the Canadian way or the US way. Most US schools require you to write GRE and TOEFL(or any test of English) while most Canadian schools don't . Its best to focus on one country so as to be able to concentrate on sending your applications to @least 3 schools, hopefully maybe you will be able to get funding with admission into @least one of them.

Let's take it from there.

Thanks am aware of the GRE and TOEFL requirement in US and am preparing to write around October. That way I believe I will have more options. However, the final will be one that will offer me good funding opportunity. Whether Canada or US. That's why am seeking to meet those who have record success in this new task of mine.
