if f(y-4)=y²+2y+3, then find f(2)

y - 4 = 2, y = 6, then, f(2) = 6² + 2(6) + 3, = 36 + 6+ 3, = 45

Naturalwaves, dejt4u and others help plzz! Been solving it over and over since yesterday but my answer doesn't seem to be correct

given a= 3 , a+4d=9

=> 3+4d=9

=>4d=6
d=6/4=3/2


now the series goes thus

first term. , a=3
second term, a+d=> 3 +3/2 =(6+3)/2 = 9/2
third term , a+2d , => 3 +2(3/2) = 3+3=6
fourth term , a+3d , =>3+3(3/2) =(6+9)/2 = 15/2
firth term , a+4d , => 3+4(3/2) =3+6 =9

Now.

are you sure its 8?

Let the woman's age be w and that of the daughter is d

equation1; w = 4d
equation 2; w+4 = 3(d+4),

putting eqn 1 in eqn 2,
4d+4=3(d+4),
4d+4=3d+12,
d=8

since w=4d,
w=32


the woman is 32years old and the daughter is 8years old..
