Too many kids on this site discussing a menace that is sweeping through regions of the world with lots of diverse ethnicity or pluralistic society who have been economically suppressed or marginalized now waging a campaign led by an unpopular group/faction of Islam.....The Islamic Fundamentalist .. They have unfortunately hijacked this issue, which in the past led to coup de tat in same regions of the world going through this turmoil. This is the cost of democracy but misguided because it has become expensive, bloated, too corrupt that the people of these regions are economically disenfranchised and the only game changer they see is this VILE islamist ! Egypt dodged the bullet with emergence of strongman Gen El Sisi. The Egypt experiment will eventually be welcomed by the rest of the troubled regions. Let Strongmen of these regions return and lead thrier own people and let their own democratic system evolve. Libya of Gen Ghaddafi and Saddam was a much more prosperous place than what they are today. The west now recognizes the stabilizing force needed and let the Coup of Egypt to take place ..... I see the military and strong men/leaders of this regions coming back but for now, this is our new reality in these regions of the world. A death in the north , bomb blast in mosque, church & marketplace unfortunately keeps investors away from your country and Kids on this forum will be Old men still waiting for jobs and dividends of misguided democracy which has bred this menance ( Boko Haram/ISIL) sweeping through these regions.

will subscribe to your ideas if you have a tenable evidence against him. PDP did not benefit from BH? So why the shiver all over the spine when they are been asked to produce the evidence of weapon procurement? The plane seized In SA loaded with dollars was claimed to be for weapon procurement and where in the world do people move around with crude cash to procure weapons?

We have deliberated extensively on that issue of Cash-for-arm debacle in South Africa. Jonathan's govt opted for that option (no matter how crude it looked like) obviously to avoid enemies' attention. Don't forget that Jacob Zuma has affinity with APC leadership, hence the decision to procure the arms from unofficial sources. It was the apparent antagonistic posture of US and its allies that informed such panic but sincere decision. I am not saying Buhari is the direct sponsor of BH but some elements in his party ( who were obsessed with power shift) instigated the onslaughts. Don't forget also that Buhari himself canvassed for amnesty for Boko haram at a particular point in time. Be it as it may, history will unravel itself at the appointed time. Those behind the Chibok abduction and related crimes will face the judgment of God.

The whole Military in the world cannot end Boko Haram without the support of the people in those areas. Is not by relocating the DHQ or whatever to Maidugiri,what has been the result ever since the relocation? They MUST include the people from those areas in this fight.
Again, we as a nation must as a matter of urgency review our foreign policies. We must know our foreign enemies, take it or leave it, our foreign enemies are benefiting from this insurgence.
In as much as I don't want Jonathan to continue beyond 2015, what has Buhari done so far to show that he was prepared to tame this insurgence? Nigerian government is good at 'cosmetic publicity'.
