I am doing one now, most carpenters will charge you N300 per sqm but this my carpenter is doing each room size for N1500.

The sand which was used to make the blocks, different sand colour will yield different block colours, but this has nothing to say about the quality. A block could be darker and stronger and a block could be whiter and weaker.

Look closely at these guys packing sand, note that I was supplied two different colours of sand for this block work last week, (white and brown). I quarrelled with my supplier and he has promised to keep giving me only white sand henceforth.

okay I see. I used to think the brown ones have less cement, therefore low quality. Lol.

l get concerned when I read things like this cos I think heavy rains will wash away the cement and that can't be good for the building.

Better not to compromise safety for speed and your clients need to appreciate this.

I understand you sister, we are very watchful of the weather, we cancelled all block laying works here yesterday, I am still watching and making calls on the weather reports before calling for works to start this morning because its still raining in some parts close to this site. We always make the best quality decisions irrespective of our desire for speed.

Materials for the parapet and roofing of this house arrived this afternoon, more will be brought in this coming week so we can crown this marvellous building. We are planning two different styles for each of the houses. More to come.

They are more expensive than the bamboo but more reliable, especially considering the type of concrete fascia I have in mind here. They are equally reusable.
