appointment letter is the only thing that can give u access to the embassy regardless of your case.

What if your passport has been used for fraud or crime or terrorism?

Don't worry, that is the normal process to obtain or process a work visa. The immigration lawyer will process your visa with a copy of your international passport and the constancia de employado of the company inviting you to work with them in mexico. The process take 2 or more weeks to be process here, then you just need to go to mexican embassy in abuja and they will stamp you with a working visa.

The immigration lawyer processing your document will tell your friend what you need to bring along.

Embassy does not issue work visa, embassy can only give you, tourist/business or student visa. Work visa is processed by the company that want to employ you in Mexico, through the Mexican immigration office.
