There is no such thing as average salary. It all depends on your skillset. Someone like me would command as much as 1 million in some companies and other companies may offer 300-400k so it depends on your skillset and the company hiring you.
I dont understand you.

To understand me is simple. If you go to an interview tell them you can code in all programming languages and all platforms. Then you will understand its not about average salary. The idea of average means you know everyone's salary and you compute it. But basically when you go for interviews its always about how well you can sell yourself and your skillset. Average is what HR creates so that they can determine the value of developers. POINT IS A DEVELOPER's VALUE CANT BE MEASURED. na about your content and packaging.

I take coding to be a profession that is not flowing. I mean there is uncertainty in it. What if all the apps that is needed is developed what then will the coders be doing

It seems you have not worked as a developer in a company before. You can never ever ever ever solve all the software needs of a company. ITS TECHNICALLY IMPOSSIBLE except the company has gone bankcrupt. There is always something new to build for an innovative company. That's why companies hire new hands. I worked for a company that started our using excel to do most things and as soon as we finished our work. We were asked to quote on converting all their manual process to automated process. Which by the way is a very big job. So my broda/or sister. You cant build all the apps finish.

Who asked u to mention where you work? And ur boss is online 24/7 to sack ur username in a faceless forum abi?

If you access Nairaland from your work PC, your work IT department can trace you.

The opening thread requested what kind of work you do, and where it's located. That narrows things down, your work IT department can trace you.

Does this answer your question?

After reading through all ur posts I think is time to dust my laptop and pick up my programming skills. I take programming as my hobby (something I do during my leisure and boring hours). Since people are earning money from it in dis country, I think am interested too.

As an aspiring/new programmer, it can be challenging to decide which language to program in.

C# is the best choice of language for people new to object oriented programming based on factors including learning curve, job specific requirements, platform specifics, or a plethora of other criteria. The C# programming language was created from the ground up to be an object-oriented programming language that offers ease of use, familiarity to C/C++ and Java developers, along with enhanced memory and resource management.

You need to start from the begining - which is to acquire your basic skills. Then you climb up the ladder, nothing wrong with doing employment work mind you - just that it is better to be an entrepreneur if you have got what it takes.
Please Accept my request. I need to talk to You about something

Dear geeks and programmers in Nigeria, i want you all to come together and leave legacy behind.
The nairaland theme is what you all should advice nairaland owner to commercialize like dudamobile and others.
This is a powerful legacy to leave behind so that programmers that are interested can be thought and offer it to the public for fee.

However if the owner of the nairaland is not interested on this legacy, some programmers can come together and perfect the responsive theme to offer it to the public.
This is our own innovative and should be left behind as a legacy for generations unborn. You can easily raise money to perfect the theme the way dudamobile has done but with your own innovative
thanks.
