Searching through my sent item folder in my email,discovered I applied for graduate trainee 13th May, I wasn't invited for the graduate trainee test they had,now I am being invited for a position I know nothing about. It maybe the programmed software having some kind of "headache" or what do you think? If I was to be in lagos,would have simply dashed down there but the logistics involved isn't worth gambling over,all I would get would be "sorry" no way!

I got the invite for Saturday too and this is the second one I'm getting after I applied for the Graduate Trainee. I called them when I got the first one, I was told that wasn't for Graduate Trainee. I believe these assessments are done in batches, so there's is a possibility this new invite is for Graduate Trainee.

Its beau49 not 24 ....you should have taken them with you regardless of how small the pay was. I read here those with experience get to negotiate their salary no matter of how much they were/are earning.

@18wheeler, what are the grades available for B.Sc holders, starting from the grade you will be placed on after passing through banking school? I mean the clearly defined career path from entry grade till AGM.

Boss, I have a test tomorrow, and from the look of things , it's not a graduate trainee position. The thing is I have no experience as I just passed out of NYSC recently, and from what I have seen, at interview stage, they ask for pay slip , resignation letter e.t.c what would be my fate at that point ?

Also anyone with idea as to this matter, I would appreciate your input.

my thinking.... All staff requests ought to have been collated from various branches and units. This will serve as a guide to the whole process. As for approvals, I also feel since the embargo on recruitment was lifted, there should be a blanket approval for those spaces to be filled.

I understand, no vacancy, no medicals and all that...
Buh can U explain this; why still conduct test when they are yet to sort out the ones on their hands?

This is my take; for them to still be conducting test while they have a lot of peeps still waiting for their response after interview/exco can mean two things...

1. There have more vacancy to be filled compared to D successful peeps @ D test n interview...
Buh D counter-question is; why not get back to them if they are successful so they @least know they are successful? 

2. They have the habit of not contacting unsuccessful applicant after D test n interview, cos I could remember during my test @ Q n Q Place, D guy said if U dont get a response after 3days mean U are unsuccessful...

If however, D latter is D case I will say they suck @ conducting recruitment...

Thank you for this clarification. I waited for 4mths when I joined a bank in 2006. I waited another 2mths @least before I joined Stanbic. Once you have passed all the tests they'll definitely employ you cos if there's no vacancy for you they wont pay for your medicals. One just have to be patient while keeping his hope much alive. it's the encouragement I try to give here.
