Fool, why don't u open another thread and lament foolishly about that non issue? How does this negate the fact that this act is commendable and should be encouraged afterall no one asked him to do so.
TANoid, u sound really daft.

I thought you are smart enough to know the difference between a mere PUBLICITY paparazzi announcement and an act.

Why are you so daftt and bereft of intelligence

Really?

Presidential jets maintenance cost will also be slashed, abi?

Presidential motorcade fuel cost will also be slashed, not so?

Aso Villa food cost will also be slashed?

See gobe grin grin

So you even know such items need to be slashed, yet you did not distance yourself from the clown who ensured they persisted?

We will all enjoy this new government by force, despite your desire to continue with the irresponsibilities you have so outlined.

The monthly basic salary of the GCFR (President of Nigeria) is less than 1.3 million naira.

That's less than the salary of All CEOs of deposit money banks in Nigeria. Less than the basic salary of some Chief Medical Directors and Surgeons. Less than the basic salary of Vice Chancellors and some Professors.

Some middle level bankers earn that in 2-3 months; some top oil workers earn that in 6 weeks.

Buhari's money (loot) lies in the bogus allowance, not N1.2m.

Buhari should stop f00ling himself. Slash your allowance, not that meagre amount you call salary. some Lagos big boys spend that on beer per night.

Naivety and ignorance has been a major issue some nairalanders are suffering from. .
7m sounds like so much to you guys abi?

Encourage Mr president to stop deciving his followers as This so called slash is nothing to be compared to the allowance and security votes he gets in a "week"

He should just Try to reduce the cost of governance..

Do you understand the meaning of "budget for the office of the president "

It involves fixed recurrent expenditures such as salaries, travelling expense, stationaries, et al

By the way, how come you didn't give him credit for rejecting replacement of his official car. Isn't that a cost cutting measure?

I gave him credit on the ASSUMPTION that it is not an ordinary story that will be reversed when scrutinised like the STORY about selling the presidential jets some weeks ago that was then reversed.

Meanwhile, in case you missed it:

This is a good step but it will be a better step when the senators and reps also cut by 50%.

Best will be salaries & ALLOWANCES for all political office holders in line with the N18,000 minimum wage paid to civil servants in the SAME government.

Buhari is a learner as many past governors don't take salary at all.
It is all gimmicks that Nigerians are familiar with, they know how they
will get their money back.

Of cos they need to do more. We demand they must do more but only fools especially like the one u qouted will claim they haven't started.
I expect NASS to take a clue from this, if they don't then Ekweremadu and his cohorts who are undermining the change revolution should be blamed.

I than God that PDP couldn't have their way this time. Let them wait & learn a big lesson that governance is not all about sucking your people dry, but selfless sacrifice? Will GEJ ever do that? May be never!!!
