Bollinger:We know your type. You arrive here and start forming elite and being too good for your fellow Nigerians. The moment trouble comes and you aren't accepted by the foreigners you run to, you run back to the same Nigerians. Keep breaking away from Nigerians o, time will tell. |

ShakurM:I agree brother.. I have left Nigeria before twice on a 6 months and later 2 years stint. What I hated about Europe the most wwas the cold and the pervasive loneliness in my soul... I packed my bags one day and returned home. I am still relatively young and trust me I have suffered hard when I got back before I adjusted again to Nigeria, but the thing is I made up my mind I will not run again but stay to make my country better. Plus I missed pounded yam. Lols. |

I greet you brother, all you said are true but not how you put them. What matters most is what you are going to do in Obodo Oyinbo. I have lived in European countries wella and the Uk, and i can say confidently that our naija brothers just go to Obodo Oyibo to suffer deliberately. Now using Amstadam as a case study, i was there for my Xmas last year; u need to see naija guys at Schiphol closet begging for arms from blacks, Or is it Germany or London?. To summarize all, you must have something in mind to do, nor something waiting for you to do before going. Since i am aware of such shit that befall our fellow naija men, i tend to question my guys before helping them come over, and such person must show the spirit of clean hustling.. I rest my case. |

Mr tai you are such a very truthful one but mind you no home based Nigeria will ever agree with you because they all have the mentality of picking dollars on the road..i once told my friends in naija of the reality but they saw me as a deceiver.. There are lot of Nigerian in abroad that wished they never travel, coming back home is another problem cos there is no due means to get repatriated...many are languishing in jail and some have turn beggars on the street..it high time you pepper wise up.. To my greatest surprise the last time I visited was in the bus when landing in disguised but meant the people teaching me how easy it is oversea, even when i tried to explain they saw me as jew....lol..but I laughed within.. |

I disagree with u on the price of the professional courses, Nebosh is more expensive than the price u gave here. Nebosh is a professional safety course that u can use to work anywhere in the world. It has two types and it cost btw 250k-300k |

erico2k2:U ask a question abt low life incomes and i gave u the information.....Problem,with Nigerians in Germany is the language because some people immediately after they can speak few German words, will started looking for jobs while those who have higher degree are working in big office including BMW and the rest automoblie office...In Germany, the more u are Educated the more ur chances of working in a better place and remember education is free in Germany ![]() |

nobody thinks the streets are paved of gold or money grows on trees. it all comes down to poverty and the sins of our leaders that put us in this mess today. you dont see ppl in good countries traveling around looking for greener pastures plus govt did not do population control. |

abbeyty: tai2:To quell your curiosity, i will try to enlighten you; 1. Yes i avoid Nigerians like the plaque. It is sad that most of them who come here don't change their mindset. Nigerians are like black Americans. Nigerians go about with the "village mentality" and the average black american believes their is a "conspiracy" against them while the truth is, they are lazy wannabe gangstas who live off the backs of tax payers. 2. What trouble are you talking about? you are more likely to get in trouble hanging around Nigerians. Remember, we have a psychological corruptive nature. I could tell you the phucked of things most of them do/try/tried to make me do. from being a gigolo to credit card fraud to insurance fraud. forgeting that the American justice system gives out jail terms like like candy to a baby. Their is no bribing your way outta that. 3. It is safer to hang around Ghanaians. |

op, u talk of racism, in your country Nigeria, what do you have tribalism which I presume to be second name of racism. almost all your analysis are trash, your didn't talk about security which Nigeria greatly lack, please no disadvantage there when compare to where how country is. even most of how food can be seen everywhere in afroshop. if you have the right document and the right qualification, job is always there for you. this only happen when u are in the country with fake document or illegally. my opinion |

| Re: The Disadvantages Of Obodo Oyibo Aka Abroad by Bollinger(m): 2:49pm On Jul 11, 2015 |
vislabraye:Irrespective or how you arrive the first couple of months are the hardest and that's when you are most vunerable. For me i was in country legally but had to wait 3 months to get my social security. Without that you'll be working under the table, meaning you will be employed by an employer who pays you cash only. What he pays is far less than minimum wage but there's nothing you can do about it because it is illegal. This is the period you need to limit your association with Nigerians. You have to remember, a lot of us are in country illegally, and all they know is how to hustle. They will try to suck you in but you have to resist. As per the cultural change and racism, your best bet again is to stay away from Nigerians and Black Americans. Mix with people from Ghana, whites and the likes. You'll get acclamatized faster. It's hard either way and only time will get you through it. I have not witnessed any form of racism personally. You'll eventually find out that it's mostly lazy people who complain about racism. I'm not saying it does not exist, but it's few and far in between. Imagine a scenario where a man goes into a store, steals and runs away. He is chased by the police, told to stop, he resists and starts fighting with the cops. He gets shot and every black person screams RACISM. I ask you; does that make sense to you? My wife's clients are mostly white women. If America was that racist would she have those clients? America cares only about what quality service you can provide irrespective of what race you are. If you cannot be beneficial to society then you might as well pull out the race card. I always advice people to join the army for at least 3 years immediately they arrive in the states. Your life will be so much better if you do. You will hit the ground running and achieve so much more. Nigerians told me not to, that i will be deployed to iraq and afghanistan and most likely die there. True, that could happen. I could also be crossing the street and be hit by a car the next minute as well. I have been deployed 3 times and nothing happened. Here's what you get as a soldier. 1. Citizenship within six months, while others wait 5 years. 2. 100k, free for educational purposes. This can only be used for college only. 3. In addition to that, while serving you get tuition assistance which means they pay for your schooling in active duty or reserve. Which also means you don't have to use the 100k. I'm transfering the 100k to my wife to finish her masters. 4. They also teach you a trade craft when you join the army. I am a software engineer for the army. I did not know squat about it prior to joining. I did a test which would tell if i was trainable and once that was done i got trained and the rest is history. 5. Once you master one craft, you can apply to switch to another one. 6. Free medical insurance. peace of mind 7. Quality life insurance. If i die for whatever reason; in combat or driving my car, my wife gets an instant 100k 24hrs later. A couple of months later she gets 450k and benefits for the rest of her life. The benefits ends when she re marries. I get 100k if anything happens to her. 8. Opportunity to travel. I cannot mention how many countries i have been to free of charge. 9. Opportunity to lead people. The training and opportunity to lead people is unquantifiable. I have over 50 people i teach, coach, mentor and lead. If America was that racist, i would not have the opportunity. 10. First in line for any federal job (you want this) when i decide to get out. The only negative i have so far is the lack of access to Nigerian food. Considering all the positive though, i think i can live with that. |

tai2:not always the case ,my cousin's banking experience in Nigeria helped him land a bank job when he emigrated to detroit. As regards women, unless your case is hopeless there are lots of lonely and uninhibited women in Europe and North America. If not for african culture and morals im sure Naija chicks would have gone haywire too |
