I wish i could 'just' forget all I went through! Kai. For the first time in 4 pregs.I knew the FULL definition of M/S, although I never had to throw up. And, so very fortunately (smh) for me, I had a conference to attend in U.A.E those early weeks. The nauseating experience was out of this world.

Till date, I still brood over those missed opportunities to visit fascinating places in Abu-Dhabi, Dubai etc.as I spent more hours indoor! Infact hen, the memory is still fresh despite baby's kicks. In simple terms, there must be a return visit after my EDD. That conference must hold again..

There's nothing anyone says that will make much sense to you though you hear, not till you calm down. You have to look for a way to forgive him n forgive yourself too. Yes yourself, cos deep inside you, you harbour sthgs - no matter how little-against yourself for what happened.

Marriage is not a bed of roses, and our mothers who have been married for over 30, 40yrs, that you see and admire; if you ask them what they've gone through before getting to that stage, my dear you will marvel. There is no excuse for adultery, but do you want it to break your home?? Your story, is one of big testimony, it shows God truly loves you n so the devil will be more interested in trying to break your home. You have to gidi up be strong n pray to God about it, He will surely hear you.

Oh yes, DH has to learn his lesson, but not thru fights, shouting, et al. For me, it is SILENCE too. His food n everything am meant to do for him will not be late for a sec during lesson period -I take better care of him sef- but no serious conversation at all. Talk about heaping coals of fire on someone's head. But u know your DH best, n should know how to teach him a lesson without fights. Also pls, like @modath said, DO NOT GO SNOOPING into DH's stuffs deliberately- bad recipe! It shows you have the seed of distrust, i.e, if you do.

Lastly, just remember that bundle of Joy you are carrying and how you came about it! Be happy, my sis! Sorry for the long talk oo.

Thank God, didn't know that this thread exists. Been reading everything. Thank you all for your contributions, advices and sharing your experiences. Very helpful indeed. I just stumbled on this thread yesterday and have been studying it from page 1. Hope I get to finish it before my due date.

So excited, scared, thrilled, impatient etc that I can't wait to ask questions. Over to senior mamas in the house.

1. How do I manage my cool in during labour. I am the type that panics easily?
I know there are no laid down rules but you guys should pray for me that I calm down enough to listen to instructions from the nurses.

2. My hospital requested only glucose for baby in case breast milk comes late. Hope that would do? I intend to do exclusive.

3. How many sleep suit and day clothes do I need at least for the first month. I have not checked baby sex so having a bit of a struggle picking out unisex clothes.


4. I am dreading the tear or cutting. God help me sha.
Please advice and experience from our senior mamas. How do I prevent, manage and take care of tears or episiotomy to prevent unnecessary pain and infection. (though I am really binding and casting against tearing).

5. How do I get to take care and firm up the koko after delivery. I have heard scary stories about things going horrible wrong down there. Abeg experience needed.

6. Tips on losing tummy fat and etc.

7. Please where can I get a bassinet here in lagos.

Yes dear, I can only imagine how painful it must be. This can't be easy for anyone. Please try to be as calm as possible and push the thoughts aside 4 now as difficult as it would be. Cos truth is that the more you dwell on it or over analyse it in your your head, the more likely your are to drive urself mad. Don't take it beyond what it already is. Also, considering his initial reaction to ur subtle confrontation, he's more likely to lose his cool and defend himself further rather than feel sober and apologise if u bring it up again.

Just continue to be the good wife u have been. He most likely would change now that he knows that you know. And seeing all that love still coming from you would prick his conscience. Like proud dad and some others have adviced, do well to forgive him when he does come to ask for your forgiveness.

And take very good care of yourself. Just free ur mind my sister. For you and d baby ok? May God not let ur efforts be in vain. Big hugs to u.
