It is a general notion that some animals, even dangerous are granted sacred previledge to live without attack in different parts of Nigeria. Examples:
Ogidi - Anambra: Python
Nnobi - Anambta: Snail
Onicha - Ebonyi: Crocodile
Umunya - Anambra: Cat fish
Awka - Anambra: Monkey
Okposi - Green snake (Aka)
Aguru - Anambra: Crocodile etc.
Add the ones you know, particularly in your own culture.
