[b]The AG is just trying to spin this one but he has failed. An incompetent fool that should be sacked by any sane government. No APC lawyer was in court Yesterday yet he failed in his bid.
He approached the Court in Bayelsa asking the court to set aside her earlier judgement in June while parading the High court judgement in court but the NIC refused to do so despite acknowledging that indeed Akanbi made the judgement.
The NIC made no new order neither did she set aside the one she earlier made in June as requested by Aguma the AG. This simply means that the order is still valid and must be respected.
Both the High court and NIC are federal courts with equal powers. Wike cant just agree to obey one and disobey the order. Pending when a superior court (federal appeal court) makes a superior order, the order is valid. The AG should just shut up. He failed in his bid in Beyelsa yesterday and thats the fact.
The elected LG chairmen are expected to resume this morning and i forsee a farcas if those illegal CTC chairmen confront them.[/b]

Trying to figure out, what is the position of the law when two courts of equal powers makes opposite declarations on matter of same subject, is there a law covering that or any case by the supreme court or higher court of record? What are duties of both parties in such instance?

There is a superior court (Federal Appeal Court). Whatever she says will override whatever these two have said so far. For now, the right thing is that the LG secretariats should be sealed up and allocation withheld pending the judgement of the Appeal court. This will avoid Anarchy.

Will it be wrong if the party with the earlier judgment files a petition to NJC on the judge who knowing about the earlier judgment delivered another or even knowing the matter was before another court decided to proceed(it can be argued whether any of the parties informed him in the open court)?

Anybody can file any petition to NJC, NJC itself is no court and cant claim to have more powers than any court in the country

Everyday I watch the events of Rivers and I see desperation by both parties and I hold my breath knowing while we take sides, many will suffer and events might not be decent like at the last elections and I wonder, did I do right supporting a party and flaming this fight online?

Its unfortunate though however u should know that the government of rivers is simply reaping from what he sowed while his predecessor was in power. KARMA surely is a bitcch.
