The Governor of Imo state Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his wife Nneoma Theresa Okorocha are currently in Manchester where they attended the graduation ceremony of their son Ahamefula Brendan Rochas who graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class in mechanical engineering.

yes. this what am talking about. I prefer see them in engineering, medicine, sciences in schools abroad not some cheap courses.

Why he no cum read the mechanical engineering for IMSU with him papa Free Education? Congrats to him though, under better condition, all the 21,22 graduates in Nigeria will surely graduate with 1st class abroad. Nigerian education is difficult, many sadistic lecturers and many pull him/her down factors

Rochas....why not IMSU?

Because....Nigeria no longer has the money to adequately fund universities....and because when you pay N45000 as fees...you get N45000 facilities.

Of course...Rochas gets some of the blame here. No money spent on developing Imo State into an oil free economy....so that it can have enough cash to fund its state owned institutions.(As for FUTO....we know that GEJ's transformation agenda....hehehe).

If our state governors were serious...they would have used their brains and manpower to develop their state economies...so that the universities would work. But no.....

But overall....Nigeria does not have the extra money needed to make IMSU and FUTO look like University of Manchester. So...ewe must diversify our economy....and invest more in education. Meanwhile...fees may have to go up.

Wow...although all this first class reports are amiable of Nigerians in diaspora, I am somewhat tempted to fault the Nigeria education system.

In another point of view, is first class now sold huh

How come we hardly hear of the not well to do Nigeria students on scholarship coming out in first class, only celebrity kids undecided

Anyways, that is non of my business, WHO WILL BE GREAT WILL BE GREAT regardless.

All the Governors and Nigerias elite children are all graduating with 'first classes'? The thing has become so frequent that I am now suspecting those British people.
Even Mutalab would have graduated with first class before being caught with Bomb in pant. Meanwhile, in real life these kids cant stand a thorough bred Naija graduate when it comes to being streetwise.
But why are all of them schooling abroad while their parents are frustrating ASUU and students here?
