holufemy:The solution to the Pathfinder "Transmission issue" is a very simple thing! Its called BYPASS Will not even cost you up to Five thousand Naira to solve, but the important thing is that you have to detect it before it spoils your Transmission Control. You will know it is developing that problem if you open your Radiator Cover and you see some White/Yellowish Grease on the inside part of the cover and maybe some "Oily Sleek" on the water in the Radiator. If you see that, your Transmission is being damaged to some extent. Do the By-Pass straight away. The problem mostly in the old models 2009 downwards but has been corrected in the 2011 Models Onward. I own one of the new ones, so l know. ![]() |

[I agree with you. I was wondering if it isnt the same Nissan (Primera) my mother drove for 11 years without ANY issue. Within the first month she drove the Honda she was embarrased. Within every car make, I think there are brands to be more specific about. Making generalizations like, all Nissans are problematic is not a correct analogy. I was involved in buying a Nissan xterra 2003 model for a friend of mine about 5 yrs ago. The car has performed excellently well in Benue where it has been on farming trips and all manner of driving terrains. Its good to be specific; make, model, year, even engine type. quote author=BTT post=36000086] Brother, Pls pardon me sir, but you don't know nothing about Nissan. I have 2 Nissan products. And I will buy another after another. You should know.[/quote] |

LKO:Golf 3 was the first car I bought and I know what I went through.I suffered a lot,a week does not pass without me going to the mechanic or electrician.Issues includes cold starting problems in the morning, break and quench in the afternoon, break disc and clutch problems, shaft and tie rod problem, carburretor, coil or module problems, the list is endless.I recommend used 96 model toyota camry,1998 model camry(pencil light),1998 toyota corolla and C-class Benz for low income earners. These cars have second hand value and won't give you problems. |

| Re: Top 20 Used Cars To Avoid by paulavon: 11:04pm On Jul 20, 2015 |
Bro I beg you to take your mind off Golf 3,I bought mine as Tokunbo,I will not even allow my enemy to buy that car.I do not really know anything about the 2000 model Carina E. C-class Benz is a nice car,the spare parts are cheap, the engine is around 40k,good fuel economy also.Instead of Carina E why not go for Toyota Avensis of similar model or Pencil light Camry. LKO: |

This thread accommodates all sorts of talks. I had used Nissan quest twice 96 model and recently 2001 model. The engine if well maintained do not gv problem at all. It is a strong car am planning to go on 05 model now.No car is bad it denpends on maintenance and manner in which it is handled. |

I live in Festac near trade fair and for more than 5 years now I've been looking for a wizard mechanic that can help with stubborn car problems.
