I've never heard about citizens of foreign countries threatening their government cause of oil or any reason whatsoever... But for 9ja, if they get oppurtunity handle the governor himself, i'm sure they won't hesistate to test their latest kungfu on him... Later they go they claim say 9ja na civilized country... Civilized my ass...

This has be long overdue... The Niger Deltians has become a slave to Nigeria as a country. Just take a look at the staffs and stakeholders in those oil firm, you hardly find a Deltian

They have no positive impact in our community, no development not even scholarships...

As an oil company operating in a community, what is so difficult in making efforts to develop your area of operation through acts of corporate social responsibility? Why won't you take steps to alleviate the hardships caused by your explorations? What is so difficult in doing the right thing? Sometimes I don't blame these militants. All these e-warriors can conveniently come here to type rubbish because they have not been to these communities to witness the pitfalls of oil exploration.

I think the Delta state Government should release the DesoADEC funds. This has nothing to do with Okowa or the occupant. I don't have an idea about the DESOPADEC's executive amendment bill but I hope the state government isn't trying to act silly.

i call on all ijaws to be united to take control of our God given resource...ex militants,politicians both past and present, and niger delta leaders have all impoverished us to fill their pockets..if the 300 billion naira is released would the money really be used to develop the niger delta?...this is where i want all niger deltans to think alike,think progress,think development...the whites who run the oil companies here have done nothing against us..so why give them an ultimatum to pack their loads..?..if the whites all go away i bet each and every niger deltan we would see how disastrous the result would be if we let our fellow nigerians run the affairs of the production of crude in the niger delta....we should solve our problems within us and then unitedly protract it to nigeria as a whole...

barca if that money is released would it be used to develop the niger delta as claimed by the agitators?...are they sincere peoples?..are they not still the same old thieves who have been receiving monies from the past government?...

Don't say that. Take a look at the state of infrastructure in the oil-bearing communities/states. One question comes to mind, if any community in d far north or its adjoining areas bears crude oil, will it look dsame way, in terms of infrastructure? When injustice and inequality is enthroned in a land, no other good thing can thrive there. Only TRUE FEDERALISM can fix this. But parasites will always kick against it.
NB: I'm not an ijaw guy(luk @ my screen name). Full-blooded imolite.

these companies actually know their duties as regards that,reasons for a community relations department..but the truth is that our block headed thieving chiefs and niger delta leaders would rather resort to collecting monies at the expense of the development of the geographical location where these companies operate...shey you dey see the real wahala?..mumu wan kill our leaders...

If you've ever been to some of these oil producing community to witness first hand the poverty and deprivation the indigenes suffer then you will understand... I have been to Egbema and Gbaramatu, even some barren communities in the north are more developed. All the govt cares about is to explore, sell and share the money without considering the plight of the indigenes that can't farm or fish any more because of the effects of exploration activities in their area. Maybe if they stop the workers 4rm working and it starts affecting the economy govt will listen.

The praises from the apc and the corners of her friends has made Buhari to become a double edge sword that can cut down others freely without any other ways available to recover justice.
