Hi Greatminds, its your boy, I got a congratulatory call today around 3pm for a montesorri teaching interview i did some months ago and i was told to relocate to anambra 2mao, on the other hand am still in this years Dangote Truckofficers recruitment campaign of which i took the risk to travel down to obajana to be part of history though we are yet to hear from them coupled with other applications i have sent so far, and am highly optimistic about them, the montessori pay is sth in the range of 50k plus free Accomodation and the school is a top notch montessori schl too but my fear /turn-off is the Gigantic Gate and excuses i might give just to scout for better offer and possibly gatecrash some job interviews. Please i need your advice my reliable pals on nairaland. GOD BLESS.

no coy should tie u down with 50k plus accommodation. i will rather venture dangote and see what comes out of it. If teaching is not ur calling (ur natura flair), I'll advise u ask the school to extend ur resumption date by 2 weeks. within this time u will be able to assess dangote. Pray

Bn a truck officer is not easy. I was invited for the screening @ obajana buh didn't go. This is because I see it as a big-time waste of time and risk of life. Do you know what it takes to travel physically with the driver almost everytime? I served in kwara state, somewhere in bode saadu. There is a federal road that links kwara to/with Niger state that passes through that town. I saw trucks breakdown umpteen times on the road without help. Sometimes, the driver would sleep on/by the road for 2, 3 or more days. Are u ready to do this with the driver?

2ndly, you don't even know the kinda driver you ll be working with. What if you are paired with an alcoholic or a drug addict? This kinda person will drive recklessly under the influence of what he takes in. Abeg, don't you want to grow in ya career? Will ya parents mind be @ rest whenever you are traveling?

4damore, you can be called on anytime to travel with the driver. Are u comfortable with this? Are u really ready to do this?

Finally, I learnt that when you cover 400,000kms, the truck becomes yours. Lol. I hope this isn't wat you are dreaming on. Isn't this ridiculous? By my calculation, you ll have to travel with ya driver for almost 3yrs b4 the truck bcomes yours. Abeg what if something happens along the line(unforseen circumstances)

Have u imagined why dangote prefers to use graduates, when ordinarily a secondary school drop-out can even do the job? Dangote is an opportunist who has taken advantage of the unemployment rate in Nigeria to rubbish her graduates. The billionaire jst need you to monitor the driver and his truck and goods. #profit

Midolian just told you everything. I work in a logistics company which involves haulaging products pan Nigeria. Ooo boy, it's not an easy job, the bad roads, the terrible drivers, the hazards on the roads. Dangote is very sure that almost 90 percent of the graduates can't wait to complete the required milage for the trucks to become their own, ooo boy only very few graduates can ply Naija roads for 3 to 4 Years with trucks. Dangote just want exploit you, abeg run for your dear life.
