It is IGCSE not IGSCE.

Sincerely speaking..... I am speechless, why? I am not an educationists but let me try. Three years is not easy especially in this noble profession of ours. As a school head, you well experienced in school management which puts you in a very good position to head a school. Masters would be the best just as Manie would say," look at the bigger picture and not the immediate gains".
In the interim get certifications such as IGSCE, Montessori training, TRCN, PGDE and more.
I must commend you on the feat you have been a able to achieve within a space of three years. Giving up is not an option.

This thread is intresting, just want to ask are there not teaching vacancies in other states apart from Lagos. Lagos lifestyle is too crazy for some of us. And the cost of living of Lagos will rubbish ones income if one is not careful. I will appreciate members from other states in the South South, North Central even North West and North central but not North East to post vacancies thank you

From my little experience, I would advice you do NTI. It is cheaper and faster but you have to study hard to learn about education. I finished last year and have no regrets. But you can also do PGDE at Unilag or any other sch of your choice. Sometimes getting ahead in career is by the value you can add. Like Manie says, never stop learning and strive to improve yourself. Opportunity will come and meet you ready.

Oga, how far? Happy sunday
ravensckar:
Let us not call a spade a spatulous object for abrading the surface of the earth. Let us simply call it what it is; A spade. That people snap up job vacancies here without giving feedbacks after attending such interviews is the height of insensitivity. Funny enough, this lackadaisical attitude of 'No feed back' is becoming contagious; As some of us who were of the habit of always giving feed backs have refrained from doing so.

I've been observing this trend for quite some time, and honestly it's worrisome. Out there, people request for cash, recharge cards, and even s*X to connect unemployed people with their prospective employers. Here, we only request for feedback and nothing else.

The last job I posted here recently was actually offered to me by a friend, but I told him I would pass it because I'm presently occupied with some stuff. Sadly, no one has come hear to give feedbacks. And I'm sure they would have gone for the school's interview. Such ungrateful attitude!

Let this be an appeal to all those whose habit it has become to always snap jobs from here without giving feedbacks in return. You should know for sure that you're being ungrateful. A word they say.....

Meanwhile, is there anyone here that got the invite from Thomas Adewunmi College, Omu-aran, Kwara state. Of all the invites I've been receiving lately, this particular one seems tempting. Already, I've scheduled my interview with them on Sat July 4th. If there's anyone who got their invite, please open up so that we can share ideas. Funny enough, I already have interviews slated on July 2nd @ St. John Paul's Sch Ikoyi, July 3rd @ St. Jude Private Sch Festac, and now this one on July 4th.

It's really the opening of the teachers' transfer window (as football lovers commonly call it). It's gonna be busy henceforth, but without regular feedbacks, I guess it's going to be a boring thread. Peeps! Let's keep this thread rolling with feedbacks.

P.S: Please, whenever you're to mention me, kindly put my moniker. Else, it might take time before I stumble upon that 'Visiting Prof' title up there. Moreso, that 'Visiting Prof' is just an honourary title and could be withdrawn upon the whim of the conferrer. Lolz!

Yes me, they are vacancies in those region you mentioned.
Lagos........ is not a flexing ground but a hustling place. I remember when Golden Dr was hammering on this in previous pages requesting for member in the aforementioned places to try and always drop openings, if my memory would serve me right, Makazona was the only person that showed interest at the time and the reason was because he was looking for a job then but after he got one he has been busy with the job. how about you? you could help us with the ones in your region pending when you get a job. what do you think?

Which kind thing be this? So, as matured as you guys(avicky, Golden dr, Kendraloops, omawunmie85, Prof.gday, engrcharlesid, you, funpeter, idrock, peybutton, vikkyhills, LaurelP,odunhary) are, una no fit resolve simple differences wey una get. After all the hype, meetings and committee, this is how the cokies crumble. I do not believe in giving up. Whoever might have offended you or step on you.......I think forgiveness is key and resolving issues amicably. What if you marry tomorrow and your wife, children or even friends offend you, do you unfriend them, disown your child or divorce your wife because of an offence.
What the Bleep was the problem and Women leader (avicky) said, "Oga were on top of it". Small get together una no fit organise.
Why start something you cannot finish? Bunch of losers?

embarassed pls house how do i go about searching for a teaching job.i have no teaching experience.kindly advice me on what to do. .studied animal science.

First u start by getting experience. But to do dat ur cv gotta carry some sort of experience or maybe not..but I bliv u must have taught during ur nysc year, if u haven't ,no prob. Meet a teacher any teacher you know to brief u how its done .if u don't know any, then get ur cv together n walk into any small school(maybe even pako sch) within ur area n apply. They would gladly take you and if there is no space, find a school really close to ur house that transport won't affect you and ask d principal that u wanna understudy teaching in their school for a few weeks regarding a project/research u intend to go into as u wanna dwelve into the teaching profession. They may likely allow especially if they don't have to pay you.. You can try that to gain lil experience and then move on from there..
This is just a guide or an idea on what u may try. Other peeps may add other approaches that may help out..
@peeps in da house ,over to una.
