The negotiation should be an exchange for their detained members with the chibok girls but if it's for peace and to grant them amnesty, capital NO NO. These BH animals have killed lots of innocent souls to allow them walk freely among people ever again.

They want to squander money to appease their brothers. That's why they were against Jonathan; they said he was killing their people (Boko Haram) while the Niger Delta militants were enjoying amnesty. They forget Niger Delta Militants were not bombing everywhere and killing people up and down.
My prayer is that God will judge these evil doers and their sponsors and sympathizers.

The sooner you realise there is no god the better for you...

This is happening because they know Nigerians won't do sh*t... Nigerians will just watch and rant online...

APC won't win the next election if this happens.

Boko haram are fighting for virgins, will you give them virgins?

Boko haram are fighting for islamization of Nigeria, will you force all Christians to convert to islam?

Islam does not promise 72 virgins, or any forms of reward whatsoever for anyone who commits suicide. It is a totally absurd lie. The virgin myth has understandably received more than its fair share of publicity due to its hilarity and "romance" At the very least, it makes for a particularly gratifying affirmation for those who would love to see Islam go down the gutters.

Besides, the harsh punishment that Islam bestows upon its followers who commit murder and suicide has been spelt out very clearly in the Quran:

Nor kill (or destroy) yourselves: for verily God hath been to you Most Merciful! If any do that in rancor and injustice, soon shall We cast them into the Fire: And easy it is for God.
Chapter 4 Verse 29 - 30

Narrated Jundab the Prophet said, "A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him." (Bukhari Volume 2, Book 23, Number 445)

Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak:"And if somebody commits suicide with anything in this world, he will be tortured with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection. (Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73, Number 73)

The condemnation Islam has towards suicide is so grave that it would be unthinkable for its followers to regard sex or VIRGINS as a reward if they were to take their lives.

Sounds very stupid to me. I winder the kind of deal that will be struck and Baba is ready to grant them all there requests .

This shows that Baba is sympathetic to them

Because something is built on the foundation of one thing, it means they are the same thing or one has anything to do with the other.

Cults and terror groups are created by people who want power and to get that power brainwash their gullible followers.

Do we all remember the Jim Jones cult and the Guyana suicides/mass-killings? Well, Jim Jones built his twisted doctine and cult on the foundation of Christianity. Did that make his cult and followers christians in anyway?

David Koresh built a cult on the foundations of christianity - he called himself the son of God, the messiah, slept with children as young as 6years old - both boys and girls - slept with any of the women he chose, completely subjugated his followers, got them to sign over all their properties to him, used drugs, and preached a warped twisted version of the bible. His followers were convinced they were the chosen ones, and ultimately all perished jn a blaze of 'glory' battling with the FBI.

Were he and his followers christian in anyway? Did it have anything to do with christianity?

It's all about brainwashing your followers, here check this verse in the Quran

"...and nearest among them in love to the Muslims will you find
those who say, 'We are Christians,' because amongst these are men
devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and
they are not arrogant"
Quran (5:82).
-------------------------------------------------
But a Boko Haram member will tell his followers, " Yah the Quran said so but then, the Christian in question are the earlier Christians not the idiotic hypocrites we have as Christians today. "

A misguided Muslim without a sound understanding of Islam will just believe him.

I pity Nigeria. Have we finally sunk so low?

Negotiating with Boko Haram that have killed and killed lots of people in Nigeria and trying to fight and destroy Niger-delta Militants.

How low have we sunk? How low....

Uncle, or aunty, I ddnt bother to check...clear ur mind of bias and ask urself wat u really want for ur country. Is it not peace? Is it not peace I ask u? What did the almighty US war on Iraq yield? At any rate, pls know that the BASIS of any purported negotiation is the release of the girls. Think about this before sounding pathetic for nothing. There are different ways of winning a war. And you must know that the last administration did negotiate but were scammed! Scammed! Negotiation with adverse parties in war is not a new thing...

ON ANOTHER NOTE..

Ok! You are right, let's send the bombs, let's send the guns, kill the terrorists, kill the girls also, kill them all, throw thw baby alongside the bath water just so that we don't 'sink so low'..throw the bombs to kill everyone lest we sink further!

Gej administration had the JFT intensify attacks against boko haram and deplated them a great deal before the general election which was a complete peaceful processes despite the treats of BH to disttupt the elections. The JTF with Niger, Cameroon and Benin forces had BH by the balls before Buhari took over power. Buhari first mission was to visit the leader of these countries involved and since then their involvement in the fight as has not been heard of, I am still wondering what Buhari told the leaders of these counties. Buhari lied that he was going to crush in 2months. If you ask me this negotiations has been part of his agenda all along, if not I don't not see any reason why we should negotiate with a rag tag terrorist group whose defeat was very glaring if the onslaught by the NA was maintained. I weep for my country Nigeria. Alot of Changes will defiantly come in this new administration has they have promised, but its left to be seen if these changes will be in the interest on the nation as a whole. God bless Nigeria.

How long will the innocents children both boys and girls abducted from their school continue to wait for military action which is unlikely to come? How long will the parents of the abductee wait for the negotiation that is yet to take place? How will all of us continue to live in fear of bomb attack? How long will the military wives and children cry for the loss of gallant men to the death of Boko Haram. Anything that bring lasting solution is welcome! You are playing politics and commenting because your mind is free from fears dare move to the north east and see whether you will still say what you are saying!!!

The Nation newspaper, unfortunately do not comprehend what Boko Haram is. It is very sad that in Nigeria we are so blind that we fail to see a elephant at one, but rather call it a bug. The Boko Haram sect are TERRORISTS, not militants or rebels. Their primary at is to cause terror to the populace. They are not interested in cheap monetary rewards. After all while buy milk when you can take the cow. They make far much more as terrorists than whatever can be offered to them. This is a regional war not local, they are in Chad, Cameroon and Niger. So if we have a deal with them what about their attacks on our neighbours, will that stop too. We need to start seeing this as a war not a campaign. Until then am afraid the Boko Haram will remain the dominant force, and not us

It's really difficult to totally crush a group like BH. The best we can get is preventing them from holding any territory within our borders, however they can easily organize small pockets of terror cells dedicated to hitting soft targets (Istishhad). Even NATO decided to pull out of Iraq rather than lose more men to horde of suicide bombers. There are only two ways to stop reduce this;
1. Kill all muslims in Nigeria with the BH ideology (this will most likely fuel the ranks of BH with more volunteers) or
2. Use the carrot and stick approach: pummel them as much as possible whilst offering an olive branch at the same. Statistically, many cell leaders will reach out to the branch when the heat becomes too much.

I can't believe I am reading this. So we are now negotiating with these bastards for what please?
Maybe for a work well done in killing close to 1000 people in just 60days. So temme what will you now tell the family of the victims. Rewarding the terrorists for killing cilivians.

Even the American are currently in talks with the Taliban.

The Columbia government is in negotiations with the FRAC rebels

Turkey talks with the PKK which just recently collapsed led to a period of about 5yrs of relative peace

Philippines government also gave amnesty to the Abu Sayaf group

It was amnesty and peace talks that ended years of bloodshed between the IRA and the British government.

Let's hear the terms and conditions of the peace talks or amnesty and then we will express our role.

Boko Haram says they want to islamize Nigeria.
The basis for this I honestly don't know.

If they were contributing immensely to the GDP index or if they could boast of anything besides tomatoes & cattle, we for even say abegi o.

But na dem contribute liability pass to the country still come dey claim this type of thing.
How stupid some people can be will forever remain a mystery to me.

Where they not offered amnesty in the previous administration did they accept?

Obj said he knew how to get across to them and in fact a lot of the chibok girls then could be freed (bearing in mind he was an ex president...with access to the presidency and council of state meetings) suddenly we heard nothing from that one again.

Seriously does it sound like these idiots have a reasonable cause other than the obvious to die & become 'matyrs'

Peace is essential. Millions of people who live in the part of the country have suffered for years.
Integrity of media has weaned. There are PDP and APC sided reports, all to make profit.
So we wait for confirmation.

In addition, we should take this story with a pinch of salt- not until we hear from the presidential spokesman himself.

Was your DoroDullard not nominated by his Boko Haram terrorists as their trusted negotiator way back in 2012 i.e. three years ago?
Did he not ACCUSE our gallant soldiers of killing the terrorists and burning their houses less than a year later i.e. in 2013?

His accusation came only three months after Borno elders begged Jonathan to withdraw the soldiers shocked
What coincidence.

I'm not too sure about this.

Are they also going to be negotiating with ISIS since BH is now a part of them? Are BH simply going to tell ISIS that we have changed our minds, we give up? What if it's truly an international conspiracy as previously suspected?

Even though our priority and that of the President is the safe return of the kidnapped girls, we must be cautious and pre-emptive about this negotiation approach to ending the insurgency.

All in all, I'm confident in the Presidents ability to uproot those blood suckers once and for all.

Boko Haram was faceless during the GEJ administration but have surfaced under Buhari for negotiations. APC and Buhari cannot fool Nigerians for ever. Buhari is living up to expectations as having connections with this sect. Buhari was chosen by Boko Haram to represent them for this same negotiations some time ago but he refused.
