bigfrancis21:Thank you Francis, I got the link. You have really lectured me in credit card. I have been a debit card person more than 1 year |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by kobe79: 1:09pm On Jul 28, 2015 |
@ Francis you are basically running round the circle and over flogging the poor lil fly No law in the USA permits an employer to deny u employment based on ur "credit history" During the boom the credit scheme started out to majorly focus on ailing and healthy businesses with a view to making the economy stronger. lol when you said landlords, mortgage and auto coys solely reach a negative decision based on credit history!!!! There is always a first time for everyone but getting a credit card is not a PaNaCea for owning a home or car etc. If you need a home to build from scratch or an already built one or a car questions asked are far from if you have a credit card or not. my questio to you is why do you think an intl student need a credit card? a student is here to study even thouhh we know they all would wanna adjust status in furure, if they dont have the raw cash there is no needstaying in buying a house when they just coming in who go approve am or a car? there are millions of students jumping buses and living in apts. and still doing fine. i amnt Obama and dont wanna be him just like dia are millions of americans on credit card i repeat credit card tgat is ur argument( stay in it) dia are also millions without it |

kobe79:You are just propagating lies. I just wonder where you are getting all the falsity that you are recycling from. @bold...please see a confirmation from CNN. Do I need to say more? |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by bigfrancis21: 1:20pm On Jul 28, 2015 |
CNN is saying basically what I have been saying. All you needed to do was do a simple research for yourself to see. A credit history simply shows that you are responsible person. People with bad financial habits DO NOT get credit cards or they have poor credit histories. One's true character will always tell even if you are wearing a suit. |

zeezahbee:i know its difficult to secure a big job now cos of status blah blah blah the lil one u have and funds coming fromhome and side biznesses continue to save even if its a lil ur account statement inflow and outflow will help a lot, pending when ur status changes and u start living big. what happens is that if ur status changes tomorrow( u secure a big permanent job) and u think you need a home. goto a financial coy with good integrity they will ask ur statement from existing bank and ur pay stubb or extra income they will approve an amount for u nonewill asku if u have credit card none. your interest rate maybe a lil, more but i bet u it wont be bad |

| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by zeezahbee(f): 1:30pm On Jul 28, 2015 |
kobe79:kobe79, all he's trying to say is not all about international student, we all, know that most people will become PR on the long run. From all the posts, I think if one is careful, you can successfully use a credit card I was denied an apartment of my choice 2 days ago because I got no credit history. No one cares about this I am an international student story. They need this credit history to show to show credibility I can't count numerous places that ask for credit |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by Nobody: 1:31pm On Jul 28, 2015 |
@Bigfrancis, CNN is just a cable news network. Having no credit card history does not make someone irresponsible. Don't rely so much on CNN. |

bigfrancis21:o boy stop posting unnecessary links to make urself feel good http://www.businessinsider.com/employers-cannot-check-your-credit-score-2014-5 u started off talking about Credit cards!!!! why dont you stick to it and stop all this super man long post. no employer in states applicable will deny you employment if u are zero or bad they however still need your damn consent and u not obligated. stick to the argument |

DeeTus:It does not mean you are not responsible yet at the same time how do you show that you are financially responsible? It is just like someone saying I won't take JAMB admission but I am intelligent and I must get admission into UNILAG. How then do you prove to UNILAG that you are intelligent if you won't take JAMB? |

kobe79:So where could I have gotten a credit history ? I show them my bank of America account and they saw the inflow of money which was actually good. I also have a seller account on eBay and amazon which I show them that I make good income every month but they need a credit history. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by bigfrancis21: 1:38pm On Jul 28, 2015 |
kobe79:Credit card/credit score/credit history are all interchangeable. A credit card gets you the credit score and history that you need. Below is the article that you quoted: Your three-digit credit score is a go-to indication of your trustworthiness that banks, credit card issuers, and car dealerships all use to help predict the likelihood of you repaying a loan. [Your article has confirmed what I said earlier about banks and car dealerships needing a credit history for loans.]@bold...what point are you even trying to prove? The article you quoted still confirms what I said, that employers often check your credit history. |
