What's grammatically wrong in Thronekid's "56 rainy seasons ago..." statement is the use of the number 56. In writing, when a number starts a sentence, the number should be written in words. So, it should rather be: "Fifty-six rainy seasons ago..." |

Do you not stipulate that the utilization of such
grandiloquent dialog impedes the success of
rudimentary comprehension, encourages
rampant obfuscation, and is the antithesis of
social intercourse?
Meaning: Don't you think using unnecessarily
large or rare words reduces people's ability to
understand what your talking about and just
clouds the situation? |
