Hmmm...There's no competition in destiny. It's an entirely one's own journey of life. Our eventual arrival is much more important than WHEN we arrived. One may arrive at 20; others may arrive by 30, 50 or even 70. The most vital thing is that we must arrive at OUR OWN destiny.

Some may get a job as soon as they finish their NYSC. It may take others a little more time before they get a job. Some may finish their higher Institution without a glitch. It may not be so with others. Everyone is on their own lane of marathon.

As the days go by, I shall be gradually dropping here a few lines of my story and journey of life, including the success and failure; my lessons and mistakes; my hope and vision.

As far as a few souls shall be encouraged by it, it all cool by me.

The promise of the future is not free. There us a price to be paid for any future reward. The price the future exacts from us involves discipline, labour, consistency and a burning desire to make the future better than either the past or the present. Those are the price tags of progress, but the price gets easy when the promise becomes clearer. When the ENDS become attractive, we become keenly interested in the MEANS. We must see and want the promise with an insatiable desire, or the price it requires will overcome our wishes, and we will fall back to where we once were. Jim Rohn!

I think love itself is an overrated concept.

Love is just a thing of the mind like every other feeling or emotion. Your definition of what love is,is a matter of what your mind percieves it to be and not what is.

Hmmm! This thread is a product of Jim Rohn's awesome materials. I've been reading his books for months.

Direction is very critical in everything we do. And we can't rule out education. Once a person is thoroughly educated about a course, the job is made easier. There's no point motivating someone who's clearly on the wrong path. He needs to be redirected.

Happy new month to you all. We thank God for His mercies and benevolence. Here comes August, the eighth month of the year.

It's another month to pursue those dreams and aspirations of ours. It's another month to be focused, determined and relentless in making our lives better. It's another month to make right the wrongs we did in July. It's another opportunity to be daring. It's another month to be different.

In this month, we must be deliberate in our efforts and words. In this month, we must live more purposefully and conscientiously. We must live targeted lives. We must live with the end in view. While we live day to day, we must endeavour to envision the end of the month. We must plan. Strategize. Focus. Put action to match our words.

In July, I achieved more than 80% of my targets, and I'm happier for it. Achievements bring joy and fulfilment.

I wish you all a great month ahead.

I also share the same sentiments with you sir. The events of recent years have indicated quite an appreciable number of people are gradually beginning to take their personal development very seriously. We, not the society, others or even circumstances, are largely responsible for what happens to us. We just have to become more proactive and responsible with the matters of OUR LIVES.

I'm a living testimony to the benefits of personal development. I take my job very seriously but I take my personal development more seriously. I'm solely responsible for my life and it's my aim to ensure it keeps getting all the more better.

Many people still require some push from others. That's what we intend to achieve with this thread. Humans are yet to fully grasp the enormity of the potentials lying untapped with them.

Those on the wrong path will NEVER get to their destiny. A wrong path only leads to frustration, poverty, misery or even death. Every decision we take has its own consequences and rewards.

I could recall how many of my childhood friends delved into illicit and illegal business weeks after our secondary school education. They made instant money, walked about the town with so much swagger and influence. They started using the biggest and most expensive of phones in the very early 2000s. On many occasions, I was tempted to join in the game but I knew the joys would not last. I wasn't wrong!

While they continued to enjoy their momentary pleasures of wealth and unprincipled women, I stayed afar off and continued my education into the higher Institution. It wasn't easy. We're talking about speed and direction here. They seemed to be on the very fast lane and speed...but wrong direction. I was like the slow tortoise on a seemingly right path.

An incident occurred and killed more than 53 of them in an explosion. Some where charred beyond identification; others rendered unfit for living. Today, all the money and loose women flocking around them are no more while I'm slowly but steadily moving on in life, having a measurable size of what's best described as meaningful life.

Direction is very important in life. We miss it, we are in trouble. The only way is redirect ourselves to the right direction, and then we can be assured of arriving on the desired destiny.
