The problem with Igbo's is they lack true leadership. They never speak with one voice. They are their own enemies. They think every other ethnic group in Nigeria is dumb, but history has proven they never think things through before taking action and when the Consequences come they begin to cry like toddlers and blame other ethnic groups. I have never seen a group of people who will never take responsibility for their actions. Always think they are 2 crafty. The bible says it's only a fool that thinks he is wiser than 10men put together or everybody else. Like yoruba people will say it is when you have no elders in your house that a baby's neck will go bent. I'm sorry to say I'm no bigot because I have igbo relatives but truth must be told. If you give igbo's Biafra? the next minute enugu will tell Anambra they're not igbo's and secession will begin. That eastern region will brake into 1000 parts with a lot of blood shed. God merging igbo's to Nigeria was an act of grace. If they secede they will suffer so much. All their trading goes on outside their region. What resources do they have in commercial quantity? They will just be a treat to african peace, because a hungry igbo man can be very dangerous. I love igbo's and want them to stay in Nigeria. They have nothing we take from them. The oil is tapped from niger delta. They better think things through before making a mistake. Any 1 who wants biafra hates igbo's because south sudan war will be a joke considering how disunited igbo's are. I say no to biafra out of love for igbo's |

The country Nigeria cannot stand without the igbos. if you really think the so-called Biafrans can't feed themselves why not let them go and I tell you the moment Nigeria let Biafra have their supposed home I swear it will be the end of the Yoruba's. The yourubas are just and always foolish just like the way they are confused with which religion to follow. |

kcng:I am not a fan of pupular Igbo thought but I think you are wrong here. Igbos do not need resources in the ground to thrive because for some time now it is the resources of the mind that has mattered over resources in the ground. Actually, it has always been so. That being said, they do have deposits of oil that are being drilled today. They contribute to the oil wealth of the country (at least 2 of the 5 Igbo states). But even if they do not have oil and they become Biafra, nothing stops the Igbo man from continuing with his business in Nigeria and all the other parts of the world in which they do business now. Successful Igbo men will still remain successful. That being said, since they seem not to like constructive criticism, perhaps if we, the rest of Nigeria, aid them in getting a country of their own, they will begin to see some of the things that we told them constructively as fellow Nigerians as they will be experiencing these things first hand. But I don't know if Igbos realise that they really do not want to go. Somewhere inside, they have come to love the feeling that they struggle against unfairness and injustice. They have come to love the public display of persecution complex, the constant state of perceived oppression and seemingly unfair treatment. Just a personal thought: No one should have the ability to treat you unfairly if they so choose. And if they do, the only thing to do is to immediately set about ensuring they don't have that power/ability anymore. Just whining about it is one of the weakest things to do South-south voice |

If the igbos fail to join hands and make change happen, thinking that Nigeria will implode and biafra will be a reality, they better start having a rethink, because, the same goons pretending to be eastern elites and leader, likes ; UBAS, ORJIS, EZEIFES, NWAYANWUS, MADUEKES, AYIMS, OLISA MENTUHS, EKWEREMANDUS, etc, are still going to betray the igbos and then it will be back to status quo. They will yet again be sent back to the bottom of the pecking order. Only cowards sees war and secession as the only solutions to solving national problems. IF there will be war today, Nnamdi Kalu will never set his foot in Nigeria to assist in fighting the war. All igbos serving and EX governors, senators, house of reps members and all top politicians will escape with their families abroad and leave majority of you beckoning for the war to perish here in NIGERIA, while most of you that would be alive will still not attain ANY Political height or relevance. The best they can do for you is to place you on pension as old biafra army. Join the govt to fight corruption and not to fight for secession. War is very easy to start, difficult to end and impossible to do away with the aftermath. |

kcng:Shove your love up your backside bro,we no need am! Lemme tell you something.. Immediately the Great Republic is declared, all these states Nigeria created in Igboland would be disbanded and reformed into provinces.everyone would be grouped into his cultural area and left to develop at his own pace like for eg the Etches straddling Imo and Rivers states would be grouped into the Etche cultural area ditto for the Ukwa straddling Abia and Rivers or Egbema straddling Imo and Rivers. Anybody caught persecuting the people by squandering the prosperity of Biafra would be executed together with his family. But first, establish the republic! |

coolscott:Der is a difference between Igbos leaving and southeast leaving. Igbo land is more than d present southeast boundary u see. If it's oil, southeast might be a marginal producer but igbo land as a whole is not lacking oil. |

Sweetlemon:What do u know abt igbo land and d first civil war? Note, d circumstances that led to the first civil war and now are not the same, also nobody is calling for war, if Nigeria believes that we are as useless as sm ppl rant abt, then let them let us go let us die of hunger. The only reason y there was famine and starvation in igbo land was because during d war, mercenary jets didn't just bomb ppl, but they burnt farmlands and food supplies, all is fair in war so I dont blame dem. |

The greatest thing that will happen to Nigeria is to allow yeboes to have their own country of Biafra. Maybe another Lesotho within Nigeria is what the country need to achieve peace. |
