I think Buhari's analogy as d writer calls it, is quite logical. Recently my friend's son had a double promotn in skool&she had no choice dan 2 buy him sumthing special. How does dis apply, if in d midst of all d political circumstances & his past failures, some regions still thut it wise 2 give him a chance, dose regions deserve 2 a appreciated 4 deir effort. He didn't say he will marginalise ny region, but he will give those dat belived in him&his vision 4 dis country a special treatment as a way of gratitude. Looking @ d 2011 electns, in as much as buhari swept d north, Jonathan also pulled a considerable amount of votes 4rm dere. Now look @ 2015 electns, buhari cudnt pull up 2 20% 4rm d east&south south, it was shameful&dats y okorocha wrote d article he wrote d oda time. I know if its sumone else, he/she will equally do d same. Let's not be one sided&try 2 be objective. 2 be sincere, I'm impressed with his performance so far, @ least electricity has improved in my area compared 2 d last admin, even though we're not dere yet, but dere is light behind d tunnel. Also petrol hasn't been scarce though its more expensive but its available, compared 2 when we had 2 fight&queue 2 get it. Afterall we were paying 97 b4&we didn't die, so a 100 or 120 won't kill us. It will only make us more strict financially& d price won't be like dis 4 long. I believe dere is hope in dis administratn. I'm highly optimistic. |

sukkot: Botswana does not have a huge Caucasian population, nor do any of those other nations besides Bermuda which is a British colony. Russia has a huge Caucasian population too, likewise Ukraine yet those two nations are in chaos - what happened to this democracy that you say comes with Caucasians? Why is there no democracy in Belarus? Why does corruption thrive in Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Croatia, Poland and numerous other European nations if what you say is true? Why would so many Europeans leave Europe for north America, south America, south Africa and Australia - you think they left because Europe is a paradise? The problem Nigeria has is one portion of the country is not willing to embrace democratic ideals or the customs that would allow democracy (or free trade) to thrive. They are happy in their backwardness, they think that every situation can be solved with violence hence their propensity for senseless rioting - when someone makes a comment about a beauty pageant, they riot; someone draws a 'blasphemous' cartoon in another country - they riot; their candidate of choice loses an election - they riot. I thank you for your responses. People like you keep providing ammunition as to why one portion of Nigeria needs to be banished from the union instead of being left to pull the more developed and progressive parts of the country by the ankles. When there is free trade, open commerce and free exchange of ideas then there is life - those are tools which can be used to coerce and encourage. Sadly it is people such as yourself who cannot see that - hence why everything with people like you is about violence. 6 Likes |

My brother, you have stated it so matter-of-factly. What you have opined here is exactly the line of thoughts I pondered on as I read the article. The writer has succeeded in: 1. Telling Buhari that he is still available, hopeful and able to be his defender; 2. Justifying Buhari's lopsided and sectional preferences in appointments. For crying out loud, does it mean there is any State, or at least, any region in this country who can not boast of a competent person to handle whatever, however and whereever in this government? Take for instance, Buhari had to go to his home town to bring on board a retired SSS official, who left the service over 2years earlier to mount the saddle as the new DG. Haba! Is it the controversy around the INEC acting Chairman's appointment? 3. Insulting the sensibilities of Nigerians as well as certain regions by deliberately writing to absolve president Buhari of all blames in regards to the 95 or 97 to 5% federal attention statement of the president. Notice also that all these abnormally perpetrated by President Buhari generates public outcry and disaffection, but the president seems unruffled with no effort whatsoever, to retrace his steps. Is he ruling over his father's house of governing a democratic nation? The author of this article clearly exposes his feigned sitting-on-the-fence position in the piece, in order to weep a little of public sympathy at the same time retaining some favour from president Buhari and the APC. Let him not forget that he can't be lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, lest, let him expect to be spit out like saliva. WhatDoYouMean: 1 Like |

TheSonOfMark:like a great man once said, you can have your freedom of speech, but i cant guarantee your freedom after your speech. listen, most humans are created to be controlled by a few. you cant have everyone having an opinion if a country is to succeed. the west succeed because they are a dictatorship. but see in the west they are smart. they give you the illusion of democracy but the people running for elections are all from the same dictators in the background. they cant be as blatant with their dictatorship as they once were because people were starting to wake up from their slumber. now lets take america for example. who is the most vocal anarchist in america ? african americans. and what do they do to them ? they are killed like chicken everyday by the police. the point is, humans are a higher form of animal and need to be controlled. without control you will have anarchy. 2 Likes |

mmsen:listen, all those countries you mentioned are run by caucasians. the only country in africa not directly run by caucasians is nigeria and thats because its just too many people in there for any caucasian to control. and that is the reason why nigeria is the most dis-organized country in africa. before independence when caucasians ruled us with an iron fist the country was organized. when they left anarchy started. case closed. only iron fist works. nigerians are a very braggadocios and bellicose and loquacious and pugnacious people. this type of people need to be controlled with the whip. nothing else will work |

Have you ever wondered why all of a sudden YORUBA writers are beginning to criticize Buhari albeit subtly. The answer is not farfetched, like Sanusi said, anything that doesn't favor the Yorubas they destroy with their compromised media. Tinubu don't worry, when Buhari finish with you and other loud mouthed Yoruba chiefs, you'll smell ya yansh. When the plummeting starts, we Igbos will be right behind Buhari to cheer him. Thank God i fall under category 1 of this useless epistle especially this part which holds true. "Most Category One critics are Jonathan supporters who think the former president was hounded out of power because he is a minority. They accuse the Hausa/Fulani “supremacists” and their south-west “collaborators” of conspiracy." 3 Likes |

I belong to the category 3, I believe in Baba, but I'm not a blind follower, I'm very expectant, I'm very patient, I believe he'll get it right but if he doesn't, God help us. We voted for Uncle Jona in 2011, but he got there and started messing up, and everytime we raise salient issues, he says we are oppositions, everyone who had a different view were oppositions including even the US, I pray Buhari will not toe that path. |
