No cause for alarm. I had the same condition because I had no idea then that Canada doesnt issue visas beyond the passport validity. She will have to renew her passport in Canada and then apply for study permit extension at least 30 days before the expiry. I would advice she applies like two months before her permit expires because it currently takes an average of 70 days to get a response from CIC for applications made within Canada.
If she renews her passport in Canada, she will not have any problem. I renewed my passport in Nigeria in April and I was still able to come into Canada. So she is covered. However, she should apply for a study permit as soon as she gets a new passport so she can get a reply from CIC in time.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how much it is to renew passports in Canada

Hey chichi pls what were the document you included for your passport renewal in Nigeria and how much did it cost?? And what were the document that was required for the visa extension. Thanks

I wish I'd your list for my application.
IMO remove all the reference letters from colleagues.
I think your application is 99% complete.
There's one special document that's missing and without it, you're doomed.

You really have to make sure it remained with you all through your application process by prayer and thanksgiving. I don't have to remind you of staying out of sex.

Good Luck and More Grace.

Good Luck!!!

Ok. I have not had any study gaps. I studied electrical engineering. Got a job as a wireless engineer in a telecoms firm immediately after nysc. Same company I served. Am going for a pgcert in project management. However the reason for this is explicitly explained in my sop. It's also stated in my letter of intro from my company that based on my management qualities, I have been endorsed for a pm position but can only assume duties After getting necessary academic qualifications. I also explained why am not just doing a pmp cert et al in nigeria. I also got 2 letters of rec. From project managers i've worked with. So what else do u think I shoud get?

Hello house,

I will be visiting Canada (Ontario) next week for a program and would like to ask for info on the following:
1. What sort of adaptor do I come along with for my laptop and phone chargers because I learnt the Canadian switches are different from 9ja's own.

2. Do I come with more cash or with my ATM? How much do banks charges cost for atm usage? What's the black market's exchange rate?

3. Are phones and tabs cheaper to buy over there? I checked out bestbuy.ca but I don't know if the prices quoted are paid on installment basis or not.

Thanks

If you have a missing document, simply send a mail to bapt.info@sait.ca

Don't forget to quote your students ID while mailing them.

Inform them of your challenge, intimate them with what is showing on your portal and what you have submitted.

As for your English Proficiency, you need to show that you had a minimum of C6 in English Language in either WAEC or NECO, you will send them the PIN of a WAEC/NECO scratch card, I hope you've done that.

Goodnight, I may not be able to respond till Tmw evening.

God bless.

Good morning and Happy New Month to you all. Thankful to Almighty God for successful TRV application. I came across this thread after submitting my online application and was trying to google CVAC address. Though I wasn't able to edit my application with most of very wonderful suggestions, I found encouragement here and useful information I can give to others later on, so thanks to you guyz, and to God who favored my little effort.

Applied Online - May 21
Biometrics- May 28
Medical Call - July 15
Medical Done - July 20 , Passed July 22
Passport request and submitted - July 23
Passport collected - July 31

Docs submitted

Application form, Family info, schedule 1 form
Admission letter from USask
Medical Request form
Scanned data page of passport (showing previous travels too)
Passport photograph
Proof of funding (Full International student Funding letter from the Uni, and 4k USD SOA from my domiciliary account)
5 page SOP detailing almost all info (career, education, family ties, why the school and course, why canada, why Usask, etc)
Bsc Certificate, University transcript
Letter of study leave from employer (stating continuous payment of salary for one year, valued at 1k CAD per month)
Letter of Commendation from international organizations and companies (UN, et all) for consultations and job satisfactorily done for them in the past
Proof of all University Awards at the Undergrad level (all related to my proposed study)

That was about all I think. I pray this helps someone too, and I wish all TRV hopefuls God's speed. If there's anyone going to Usask too, please let's connect. Thanks

Hello Nobody, Congratulations on your TRV, please how did you get full funding from the university. I would be grateful if you can share this info. I'm about applying for MPH too in Saskatchewan for fall 2016.

My people, I have hardly read anyone talk about bagging admission/scholarship for full funding M.Ed or Phd(in Education line). Is it that offers dont exist in this area or the Canadian Schools dont offer this. Pls I need responses from our Veterans in the houses. Thanks all.

I think it exists. Just email the department secretary to know the scholarship package.

Well.....yes and no....
There r ppl who got response in 4 weeks...
Some others a lil above 8 weeks....
It all depends on the magnitude of applications the vo's have to work on....
You get?
Besides I think theres a first come first serve approach as well....although sometimes it doesnt follow this rule
In all it wont exceed 8weeks. If it does then you can email them to draw their attention to it. But for now there is only lil u can do.
